do the CAV for mac use the “default deny system” architecture?

no it just uses a blacklist (antivirus)
do you know what product they have that does use it?

this is currently the only antivirus comodo has for mac. maybe a future version will include some type of sandbox or HIPS
do you guys know of a sandbox type AV for mac out there?

i dont think there is one (that i know of)
OS X includes a built-in Sandbox for all applications 8)
And all developers should be added this feature (such as New Update of Pixelmator)
