Filesystem filter driver is not loaded
« on: February 01, 2017, 10:46:01 AM »
I recently installed CAVL on Ubuntu 16.04.  I noticed in the upper left corner of the GUI that this error message was showing.  I ran the diagnostics and was told, "The kernel module 'redirts.ko' appropriate for your kernel version does not exist, please run /opt/COMODO/post_setup.sh to install it.  The run /etc/init.d restart to restart your cmd avd service."

I did this but it didn't solve the problem.  This error is still showing.

Below in information copied from the terminal window during the install process.

COMODO Antivirus is successfully configured, you can start it from Menu or Desktop.

root[at]xxxxx-System-Product-Name:~# /etc/init.d restart
-bash: /etc/init.d: Is a directory

I would also attach the CAV Diagnostic report.  But it's an XML file and therefore not allowed here.

I am very new to Ubuntu so any simple or very clear and detailed solution would be greatly appreciated!

There is a fix for this issue but according to others, it has to be implemented after each time a new Kernal update is installed and even then, it supposedly will not work on an Kernal over a certain version, I believe that version is 4.5.

I am waiting for the new CAVL that Melih mentioned back in December to be released.
