Antivirus log files location on Debian 7

Hello,

Does anyone know where to find them or how to send mail alerts via CAVL? I asked support but they asked me to ask the question on this forum.

Thanks in advance

possibly ‘/opt/COMODO/db/cavlogs.sdb’ ?

but why not just open the log viewer that CAVL provides and then use the export function within it to create the stand alone log files that you want?

Hello,

I had noticed that file before but it is not usable without the viewer. What I want is to be able to have an alert via email when the update succeeds or fails, when there is a virus detection…
That is why I was thinking of sending the log file via email.

Thanks in advance

The -r option tells clamav to scan all files and directories within the specified target directory. Personally, I use clamav to scan my whole /home/user using this command: ~$ clamav -ril /home/user/clamav.log This command tells clamav to scan my home directory recursively and output the results to a log file in the user directory. The -i option tells clamav to only report infections. I want the short story only.
