Email Size Restriction Check?

Hello, every day I receive a message from my permiter firewall with an attempt by 50.23.158.210 (mxsrv1.spamgateway.comodo.com) to send an SMTP DATA parameter with a very high value (Data Size (> 52428800) however there is no email in my incoming queue. Is this a check that Comodo do to test the maximum message submission size? Just wondering what the nature of this check is as I would like to understand if it’s normal before I tell me firewall to chill out.

Thanks!

Jul 18 09:02:05.994: %FW-3-SMTP_UNSUPPORTED_PARAMETER: Unsupported SMTP parameter (Data Size (> 52428800)) from initiator (50.23.158.210:38019)

Hi kmaier,

I will check with the devs and get back to you a.s.a.p. (or just get them to post a reply :))

Regards,
Michel.

Hi,

I have PMd you with question about your domain.

Regards,
Michel.

Hi,

I have had the following confirmation from the devs…

“We do not send any such tests. This is probably an issue with the firewall configuration that he is using as it’s most likely incorrectly rejecting connections. It’s possible that this is related: Erroneous "Unsupported SMTP parameter (Data Size (> 20000000)) " - Cisco Community

Please let us know what the outcome is…

Regards,
Michel.
