Do you see the same thing as what I showed in my screenshot? Also, do you have other extensions installed?

No, as soon as I run my pointer (mouseover) the slideshow, the whole page disappears, but the ad from the slideshow remains.

CircleCount.com 2.3.3.2 (enabled)
Comodo Share Page Service 0.1 (enabled)
Comodo Web Inspector 0.2 (enabled)
PrivDog 1.1.0.62  (not enabled)

The fact remains that if Privdog is enabled the problem occurs every time.   With Privdog NOT enabled the problem is solved and pages can be read normally.

One other thing:  it is important to note that until a week or two ago, all of the above extensions, including Privdog, were enabled and everything worked fine.

What happens when you disable all extension but Privdog? If the problem goes then try enabling the others one by one until the site breaks again.

PrivDog now once again stops the slideshow from working on the Huntington Post.

I am using it with Comodo Dragon, and a URL to check this for can be found here. With PrivDog enabled the slideshow is constantly loading. However, if I disable it the slideshow starts fine.

Where is the slideshow? Is it up top?

Actually, it's at the bottom. However, I just checked and it's working now. I'm not sure what happened, but it appears that the issue resolved itself.

Thanks for the heads up on where to look.

After some testing I found it is Privdog causing it. Your scenario where it works again can be reproduced as the result of caching. Easiest way to see that it is caching is to let CD clean cache upon exit and restart CD.

Anyway, this brings me to a shortcoming of Privdog when comparing to Ghostery (which I use on Opera 12.16). With Ghostery it is possible to disable a specific tracker to see if it is causing the lack of functionality witnessed.

See it now. Earlier we had another issue there, with another slide element.

Thank you for feedback. Hope we will be able to solve it next week.

I just checked, by navigating to the site, and the slideshow is not working. Should I try again after cleaning the cache, or should it already be working?

Let's try clear cache. I will also check it one more time from my home machine.

Working for me now. And for you?

Okay, clearing the cache fixed it for me. I'll let you know if the issue returns.

Thank you.
