False positive
« on: April 08, 2019, 04:41:07 AM »
CIS (latest) says that this http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/product_cd_key_viewer.html#DownloadLinks little program contains malware. older CIS (atleast 3 versions ago) didn't say anything when I dl'd that nor when I used it last time (~2 CISes ago).

Hi  cuser,

This is to inform you that the file you have submitted has been checked and it is not a false-positive. It was found to be a Potentially Unsafe Application (PUA). If you plan to further use this application, you can add it to your "Exclusions" list.

Regards,

How the heck its pua? It just reads Windows and other MS products keys and it was made over decade ago and I dl'd and extracted that package ~2 years ago w/o CIS saying anything and I used it some months ago and again CIS stayed quiet (files are checked on access).
