CIS and keyloggers
« on: September 05, 2020, 12:52:41 PM »
**Does CIS search for Keylogger programs?
**and remove, and correct damages caused by key loggers, and other related infections?

My computer is suddenly slow to load to the web, slow to load web pages. Then at times, after I am on the web for minutes,  page loading speeds up, some, but never lightening fast.

I operate on Windows 7.
I pay for broad speed band speed of 59Mbps download and 5Mbps upload. Speed tests, verify, that is what my computer works with.
I use CIS premium, and have for years.   CIS scans always come back with no infections, and that is the case for months now.  which is great, but, could something s be hiding from detection?
I ran a full scan again two days ago, and no infections were found.

Comodo's philosophy is not about AV detection but rather prevention through Auto-Containment.
If you want to make sure your system is completely clean, do a scan with ESET Online Scanner, HitmanPro, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Kaspersky TDSS Killer. If none of the mentioned scanners picks something up then your system is likely clean.

CIS prevents against Keyloggers through HIPS and also Access Restriction levels through Containment (Limited and above will prevent all kind of keyloggers).

You can change CIS to 'Proactive Security' mode, this will enhance overall protection of all CIS components. You can also check and use the Cruelsister settings for Comodo Firewall (also valid for CIS) which will further enhance the level of protection provided.
