I'm an idiot. I'm always forgetting to turn one or more features (CAV, CFP, D+, Sandbox) back on after I've disabled them! I really could use an X through the system tray icon when a feature is disabled. A timer (like Norton) would be a real gift. A timer with 5, 15, 30, 60 minute selections before automatically turning the feature back on would be really handy for dummies like me. Norton even has a setting for turning back on when the system reboots. I think CIS should be defaulted at this. That way, you would be protected after booting if you have forgotten to re-enable a feature. Please help out a dummy...

I like this idea.

Just yesterday I disabled the realtime AV as A Squared was running its scan. It was hours later before I realized it was still disabled.

What are you staring at?

How about a setting called "Reminder Alerts" - the user can designate when CIS provides a reminder indicating that certain critical functions are disabled. See pic.

That's not a bad idea. But a timer will work better if you're away from the computer.

Okay, so let's add a timer. Then the user can designate a reminder indicating that certain critical functions are disabled and/or the user can have the security levels automatically re-set after a specified  amount of time. see the pic.

Yeah! Whoop you make CIS very usable for the average JOE! It are the small things we tend to forget that makes one love a program...... Wink
