How about creating a super browser with sandbox/content filter/vengine/ivault built in?
or
A rollback software like FirstDefense-ISR/ShadowSurfer/PowerShadow/RollbackRx?
Will be great if they are made free.
I completely agree with this. Comodo should develop a product similar to either Rollback RX or First Defense ISR. In my opinion, no security suite is complete without a solid restoration program. The complete security suite will:
1. Prevent malware
2. Detect and remove the malware that slips by and
3. Restore the system to the same state it was in before the malware attacked
So a product such as Rollback RX or First Defense-ISR would really complete Comodo's line of security products.

Hey all> I was just looking over these past posts and it occurred to me that I now have '3' icons working in my tray and possibly a fouth in the future. Right now I have CPF, CBO,VE.
I know I've mentioned this previously so bare with me all Yee Opposers
I understand there was/is a Launch Pad and from what I've read, there were problems....
Having said that>I want a central Panel/display that would integrate the installed COMODO programs I use on my PC from which I would have complete contol over each app.
How hard could that be?
There I said it again..... Oh, and thanks in advance for humouring me....heehee
ROFLMAO!!!
Launch Pad?

I'd like Comodo to create a diagnostics tools that can capture a users NM and AM rules, FW version info, startup info (like HJT), CAVS settings, CAVS version info, CBC (is this the semi-official shorthand for BOClean?) version info, HDD capacities, etc.
This would be very useful if we had a single tool we could advise users to run that would grab all the info we need to help them, regardless of their level of experience.
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeze!

I think it would be awesome if you guys came out with a web browser.
After all you guys focus a lot on security and the browser is a big part of security.

I was one of the silly guys that sugested that. I was thinking of using the Gecko engine or something. Enhancing it with some security features/ tools.
Building from scatch would be too much to handle.
I have abandoned that idea though. Firefox and Opera are way ahead of anything.

Especially Opera has been pioneering new areas in browsing for years now. Firefox often just copycats the good things from Opera.

With due respect to your comments.......did you ever cared to check out the feature FF offers in terms of add ons? I use both Opera and FF extensively and I have no bias for either...as such. But I beleive you have rather insulted a great product without really cared to understand the full potential of FF.
Frankly...are you crazy, and calling FF copycat?

New to this forum, so I apologize if I ask something that may have been covered elsewhere. Is there a version for Vista yet? If not, why and more importantly, when?
Thanks,

Hi Ski, welcome to the forums.
A Vista version of which Comodo product? The firewall (CFP)? That has a Vista version in Alpha testing.

I was thinking the same things. There were mixed opinions on whether this was a good idea or not. I still think it should be an option but I would like to have it back...

Right this is slightly off topic, but it envolves a gap in the market. Could Comodo develope a product that protects mobile phones from attack by hackers via bluetooth??
Currently there is nothing stopping the average mobile user, from being hacked while there phone has its bluetooth function turned on?
Hackers can connect to nearby availlible phones and dial pemium set numbers without the person knowing....
(thus resulting in ££££ for the hackers)
(Born is the Comodo safetooth v1.0)lol

Nope, I don't think you're living in the clouds Novieiam.
However, maybe this protection should extend to more than just BlueTooth.. after all, you can set BlueTooth to ask before a connection is accepted on most phones. But, aside from BlueTooth, almost all phones run Java these days & are WAP enabled.

INSECURITY EXPERTS at IBM, McAfee and Symantec are warning that mobile phones can be possessed by hackers.
Apparently, hackers can even turn the camera on and used to spy on you in the shower.
According to NetworkWorld, the firms are rushing to cash in on the case of a US family who are claiming that their mobile phones have been taken over by hackers.
The hackers have been turning them on, recording conversations and taking snaps with the phone camera. The Kuykendall family's complained they were getting calls in the middle of the night and SMS messages. There were voice messages threatening to kill members of the family.
When police tracked the messages they came from their own phones, even when these were switched off.
Experts at Biggish Blue, McAfee and Symantec agree the hack is possible, but it takes a high degree of sophistication to do it. Quite why anyone would want to turn on the Kuykendall family's phone to have a snoop is beyond most of them.

Time ago I suggested two enachements in few threads about comodo whitelist functionality in its upcoming products.
Re: HIPS in the upcoming CPF
Something like this is already there
Secunia Software Inspector
This will work well as a standalone app or as a comodo whitelist enhancement.
Whitelist based approach is a overlooked field, enhancements of the plain whitelist approach are yer to come...
And what about this:
Re: CAVS tested on http://www.av-comparatives.org/
A standized hips configuration file format to help user to configure hips and evaluate an application security...

Just wondering whether all development of future products now no longer includes windows 2000? I know that the Firewall 3.0 won't support or run on Win 2k...just wondering if all the rest of the programs that Comodo make are going that way?
