Yes that is what I mean!
picture this scenario: PC is getting stolen
, or need to be repaired
, but you have a lot of sensitive data on it (read: cia stuff, fbi stuff, nsa stuff.... just kidding..
) anyways it is not mend to be seen by other people, because it can damage your business or your life for example
. Well in this kind of situations you need drive encryption software!
Hope you understand my reasoning about this now!
Anyways, Have a nice day!

Well I don't want to be spoiled too much and I understand there are other projects which have high priorities. I understand that within this month CIS will be completed and released to the public. I think when that has been done and there some time left besides other important projects, within 2 months or so... I don't really know how much time it takes exactly to develop such a product, but when this has big potential and it is convincing you as chief software architect that it has more priority than for example COMODO SANDBOX than I think it is possible within 2 months to release a beta product...
But it is all too you, I know you have a lot on your mind.. AND I find it deeply fascinating I can just communicate so openly with a CEO like yourself! I appreciate this verry much!
OKey, Wish you a nice day!

I couldn't agree more with you Andyman!
Somehow I get the feeling that our beloved CEO Mr. Melih had this product planned all along, maybe a long time before I suggested this product... He had the name COMODO DISK Encryption a verry long time in his mind... but I am not sure about this...
Though it is verry
it is becoming reality!
Okey, Wish you a
nice
day!!!

I got 3 suggestions for 3 applications for you guys at Comodo. You could develop the 3 as stand alone applications
and as a bundle. People could then choose the best option for them.
So, my suggestions are (there is no specific order):
1 - A Link scanner, just like LinkScanner Pro, but with some additional feautures, such as, allowing users to add
or remove bad sites from the list. It would also be great to see a rating feature for sites, provided by other
users and that would also allow us to rate a site.
Of course it would have to work with all major browsers and main engine searches, such as Google, Yahoo, etc.
2 - A behavior analyzer at the image of PC Tools ThreatFire, only better. How? Lesser use of system resources, and
a suggestion where to find out more about the found suspicious process/threat. Maybe a database that could be
provided by Comodo (and other users).
3 - A bot (robot) preventer - finder/destroyer, just like Symantec Norton Antibot or Trend Micro RUBotted. It
would be great to see options like the possibility to see what processes are currently running, quarantine; when a
bot is found, alert us to close and save our work before it continues with the cleaning process, etc
Tell me what you think about it, Melih.
Thanks.
Keep up your great work!

Linkscanner Pro has been bought out by AVG and they have incorporated this technology into AVG8. It's also, unfortunately, the primary reason for the caning that AVG are getting for flooding the web with page requests (they also modify the User Agent string when doing so) and consuming users download capacity.
A product like this needs to have some intelligence built in, with particular regard to not pre-fetching all linked pages when a search engine search is performed.

Yes, I agree. And I believe Comodo developers have the hability and capacity to develop such intelligence built in. Don't you agree?
( I am one of those who believe that nothing is impossible to achieve)
All the best.

Hey Melih, forgot to mention that both link scanner and anti-robot applications could be integrated into CFP as well... Just a thought.
The behavior analyzer application could be used as a stand alone or as part of CFP (along side with Defense+). Why do I say that? Well, we know that Defense+ bases its actions on the user choices. So, if a choice is not the best and something awful is about to happen, then we still got the analyzer behavior as a backup to Defense+, in case of a misjudgement when Defense+ alerts us for something.
All the best.
