There are enough free tools that provide a thorough defragmentation. (Power Defragmenter based on Sysinternals' Contig and Sysinternals' PageDefrag) What is indeed missing is an "intelligent file placement" program to avoid further fragmentation like it is built into many existing defrag solutions.

Hi Sarah,

Comodo used to have an application called Launchpad which combined all their applications into one (like a suite).  However, with user requests this has been removed (in the latest firewall and CAVS beta 2) so each application is seperate.
It is proposed that Launchpad will again be available, but as an optional download in the future. Wink

Well, I've had Comodo Firewall for a while now, and I must say that I am impressed. Its the first firewall that I have had no problems with.

Having a look through the suggestions here, the only one that appeals to me is the browser suggestion. I mean the full browser, not the portal one.  Grin

If Comodo were to make a browser along the lines of the layout of IE7, and the security and add-ons abilities of Firefox, then I think they would have hit the nail on the head. So what if Comodo would have to contend with the likes of Mozilla and Microsoft? Isn't that what they've done with the firewall and antivirus programs against the likes of Norton, and McAfee? I say go for it! I would install the browser the instant it hit the web. Grin

So yeah, I think this smilie sums up my view of Comodo >>>  (R)

Anyway, that's my ramble for the day.  Laugh

I love the idea of a modified Firefox 'Comodo' browser,pre-configured for the highest security settings. It could also be part of a Comodo security package,CPF/CAVS/Browser. Bounce

If they want to go for their own browser, rather than a modded one,I believe one of the Opera guys now works here.

It would be nice to see an antivirus and a good firewall at mobiles with compatibility
in java or symbian to block attackers from bluetooth and other dangerous threats.

hi , thanks, you have antivirus, you have a super firewall, now its the time to  create all in one cleaner, reg cleaner, junk cleaner, and allsort of things in it like we have  advanced windows care of iobit, it would be a great launch in future
regarding security, you already have a stealth firewall,no need for a anti hacker , just speed up the pc
thanks these are my views, may be you like it or not, please  ignore

First of all thnks for a good firewall, and a fast and easy antivirus system(my XP is not able to detect)

What I,m thinking: Partition Isolator?
The possibility to isolate the basic new instalation of operativsystem in a own partition, where is not possible to  do changes. More less like a closed cd.
Update and other program and processes are running from another partition.
Then when the pc start it boot only on the basic operativsystem. On the screen there will be a button to ad all other program and processes.

This isolator could have program  like partition magic, file scavenger and a new easy program to make it possible to install operatingsystem on USB hardisk (exstern), or other device.

No more loss data.
No more new installation
Is it possible or utopi Huh Thinking

A new super eraser product like http://www.shredagent.com/

What's so special about it compared to other erasers?

"Most popular file shredders,  works on user level. So they can catch and wipe only files that user does delete.

Unfortunately, the most popular file shredders:

don't handle temporary files;

don't catch any modifications done silently by software;"

But I'm using wipe free space... The problem with wiping free space is it takes too long. Also sometimes certain sectors are locked so it can't be wiped.

Shredagent is able to keep track of deletions done by programs intercept their commands to delete and use the secure deletion instead! Much easier and safer than hoping free space will get them

G'day,

Its been said before, but I'd like to have a reporting tool for system info and Comodo specific info.

Ideally, it would grab the following;

CPF update levels, rules and settings
CAVS update levels, settings and schedules
CBU (Backup) settings and schedules
IP connection details (minus personally identifiable details)
System hardware specs (minus personally identifiable info)
Software info (similar to HijackThis)

A tool like this would make it so much easier for less experienced users to gather the info required to help them sort out their issues.

Cheers,
Ewen :-)
