Are you making the theme in red?

Hi Aowl,

I don't know for sure yet. It may have to be put on the back burner until I get my current one done, I already have the name, icons etc...and would hate to throw it out for another right now, but fear not, I will make another in comodo theme. If you like, I can post a topic and we can discuss it or go to the no topic thread, better yet.

 Cheers,

 Paul

I made a thread in general discussion about that, so we can take it there...

Firstly I must say that I think both your Firewall and Antivirus are excellent products that work very well. As for new developments I would like it if the firewall were re-integrated back into the launch pad. At the moment I have an icon for firewall and one for launchpad. It would be better if there were only one icon - either that or have a separate icon for the antivirus and firewall. Other than that keep up the good work.   Clapping

Hi anderow and welcome to the forums. I have to ask, are you running the latest version of CPF? They have done away with the Launch pad. You may be well off to uninstall Launchpad and CPF and go here...

This is the latest version.

 Cheers,

Thank Paul,

I have the latest CPF version but am using the antivirus beta. The antivirus is excellent but it seems I am stuck with the launch pad until Comodo update the antivirus program so it can be downloaded without launchpad. No real complaints though - the overall package is performing very well and is the best free software I have tried to date.

Hi,

From beta 2 of CAVS I believe the launchpad will also be removed.  CAVS beta 2 should be released any time now.

I would LOVE to see Comodo come out with an online malware scanner.  Instead of having to download and install the full antivirus program, it would be nice to be able to log onto a webpage and run an instant scan from there.  Having this may help drive more people to use the Comodo products.  Many people are not willing to un-install their security software to trial something else.  But having an online scanner, they will probably be more apt to try the product and in turn use the full products.

I agree. Many of the AV vendors offer an online scan facility, this would be a great way for Comodo to show up malware that their own security apps are missing.

I would like to suggest a program like Norton Ghost 9. So that one may reinstall an entire hard drive image. That takes about 15 minutes and is automated compared to almost 2 hours to install XP and all the software and settings manually.

I use Norton Ghost 9 but will swap for a comporable program.

Thanks.

Which Product to develop next?

That is pretty easy!

A Free Dial Up Internet Service Provider.

That would benefit mankind the most.

After that; Broadband for the masses.

Then mankind can bla bla bla.

Hi,

What about finishing Antispam properly? Which is a nice product, but have some configuration problem and for the posted queries for help, nobody answers.
Though the product really stops the spam, but the support team looks like not really reading any feedback. Keep up the good work. Clapping

Comodo Controler. HIPS to control everything. CAVS should be like prevx, for automated malware research (much faster), not necessarily with more staff behind it. It depends on the programming (which I know little) and the right people (already there). It would catch Prevx1 easy being free. When something is unknown, the controller kicks in (either the user chooses to control everything, pure hips, or only the unknown, trusting completely in the lists). The controller would also have a GeSWall module. This to me would be the final solution.  Control!
This way the user can choose their own applications, all Comodo or a different mix. With the controller, it would automatically disable HIPS in CPF and CAVS, leaving only the Heuristics (if i understand correctly the concepts). It could even detect some user settings in the computer and give some security advice.

After that, yes, a browser would be the logic step. Launched in Beta to avoid critics until fully completed. Users with the Comodo "suite" would naturally have a look at Comodo browser. And there lies lots of opportunities for revenues as you said! But that is a mature market with 2 good solutions. It's really up to Comodo's business strategy.
