You know every site you go to tells you your IP address the browser you"re running, operating system and in a years time they will be able to tell you you're height & weight, thats what i'm trying to ovoid.
Well unless you're under the scrutiny of the CIA the methods described here will anonymise you enough to make tracking very difficult if caution is used.

Hmmm...is there any way to uninstall Trust Connect (after the 30 day trial), then reinstall and use it for 30 more days?
Errr I doubt anyone from Comodo would appreciate that info being posted
To be fair for the service offered less than £2 a month is great value.

Ha ha, I guess not (I like program with long free trials, then I can uninstall and reinstall. But, since I love Comodo
{or it's free products}
, I won't tell how the best way to do that is).
But why did Melih say 30 days of free trial, while the TrustConnect site said 7?

7 days isn't very long to properly evaluate the service, maybe they should look at offering a 30 day trial.

Nope. The IP alone will and can track you to your computer. With a court order, ISP's must relinquish that info to the authorities (ie how some child porn distributors are tracked down).
Also take note if you do not already know it, Google stores every search you ever made. This is how one person was brought to justice (I think within the last 2 months). He did searches 6 months prior for specific info on how to kill his wife without leaving traces (using a specific poison or medication). This info was brought in as evidence to convict. This was on the evening news, how I found out about it.
I don't remember all the details.
You are on the Internet, you can be traced. That simple.
Be cautious what you do on here (the Internet). Someone else already knows about it.

A
good quality
anonymizing service will prevent a simple IP tracking, since as far as your ISP is concerned you're connecting to the proxy, which in turn connects to the destination without any of your information being forwarded. This along with data encryption, offers a decent level of anonymity.Of course there's a lot more to it than that (it's 2.40am I'm just doing simple) and 100% guaranteed anonymity is not possible.A VPN such as Comodo's takes privacy up another level due to it's architecture.

Just think... All those people working for your ISP with access to route around in your data, watch your MSN convo's, read your Emails and filter out your passwords while no one's looking... Feels as discomforting as Camera's in Public Toilets. I would use 'Trust Connect' if it were cheeper, though I understand why this is not possible.
If you want proper security in IM conversations make sure both parties are using Pidgin with the encryption module
