Yes, I agree. And I believe Comodo developers have the hability and capacity to develop such intelligence built in. Don't you agree? Smiley ( I am one of those who believe that nothing is impossible to achieve) Smiley

All the best.

Don't get me wrong. I believe that Comodo is one of the most capable companies around. I'm just an amateur reminding them that sometimes, good intentions have undesirable implications in the real world.

Linkscanner Pro has been bought out by AVG and they have incorporated this technology into AVG8. It's also, unfortunately, the primary reason for the caning that AVG are getting for flooding the web with page requests (they also modify the User Agent string when doing so) and consuming users download capacity.

A product like this needs to have some intelligence built in, with particular regard to not pre-fetching all linked pages when a search engine search is performed.

Indeed, this is a big problem for this kind of application.
We are investigating different possibilities.. lets see what happens.

New suggestion.

What about an application to protect people against spyware, keyloggers, etc, for example, when they perform on-line shopping, deal with bank accounts? Maybe something that would create a magnetic shield around browers, such as Opera and Firefox, everytime people need it.

Don't know. Just thought of that and wanted to share it. Wink

Suggestion, Similar to DarkButterfly's Idea.

A module that I think would be beneficial is, to protect personal information\data.    I could add my name  "Kyle" as personal data, and if i tried to type my name in this box and press post it wouldn't let the information leave the computer, unless a specific site is defined as trusted.

This would be good to only let your credit card numbers be allowed to specific sites etc etc etc

I realy want to see Comodo develop a HIPS for Windows 2000/2003/XP/Visa.

We already have good produts for Unix/Linux but there´s a lack of this kind of products for Microsoft OS´s. The few good ones are too expensive for regular people.

I behavior HIPS with the hability to upload signatures will be great!

A sandbox utility is in development at the moment so that should take care of the browser shield  Cheers

Not the same. What I am suggesting is something to prevent spyware (including keyloggers) from "watching" and record what we type, including back account codes, etc.

A sandbox, such as Comodo DiskShield (I believe thats what you meant), does not prevent that. It only prevents malware from affecting the real system, if it cannot bypass it, otherwise will still infect the real system. Meaning that if you open your bank account on DiskShield, spyware will still be able to get there and "see" and record what we type, such as passwords, back account codes, etc.

A browser shield that gives the kind of protection I mentioned would be more than welcome.

All the best.

You're confusing DiskShield with a Sandbox, unfortunately. They're two different things.

DiskShield sets up a virtual hard disk, and all writes are written to it. A sandbox-type application sets up a virtual environment for a specific application to run in.

Yes, it seems so. Anyway, what I said is still valid. It is pretty much the same. The only diff is that DiskShield virtualizes the whole system, meaning that it will virtualize all apps. A sandbox-type app does what you mentioned. Virtualizes a specific app/specific apps. Lets suppose I use a sandbox to run a browser. After I ditch the sandbox, all changes made by the brower, also will. But I don't think this prevents spyware (also keyloggers) from logging info on the virtualized browser inside a sandbox app, or does it?

A good sandbox certainly will prevent keyloggers and unauthorised access to sensitive files yes.

how about an uninstaller since so many people on the forum are having a tough time uninstalling the firewall or antivirus. I think that would be good. I know there are fine uninstallers like Revo but they could be very dangerous as I found out. By the way Melih the registry cleaner is really a nice surprise since you are in the security field.
manyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy thanks for great products.

Melih, if you do an uninstaller, it would be nice if you provided an all-in-one uninstaller, that can uninstall all of the Comodo products (except for products currently in alpha or beta).
