We want to start getting feedback from our users about which products, in the field of security and trust, you would like to see us develop next?
thanks
Melih
I want that you guys develop a system optimize program so that the computer is secure but is also getting the proper care and attention and that is good for the business on the internet. A program that can monitor the state of security and optimization of other computers in your network environment would be verry nice if you guys could develop that. Also develop webshield protection that is an extralayer before something gets from the webbrowser on the pc and do something with virtualization, that would be even cooler!!
okey, have a nice day

Yes you are right I must explain myself better,
There a lot of people who are experiencing trouble with removing traces of programs, the registry is a real comprehensive part of the operating system, and everybody needs to be carefull changing it state. Not everybody is handy with the registry (including me) so a program from the makers of the program wich causing registrychanges that could delete all those nasty registry entries would be a verry good initiative. Beside the registry there are other important parts that need to be taken care of. You could think of the harddisk, so good defragmentation of the disks and protection of writing/rewriting errors. A utility that can warn when the harddisk gets too full and clumpsy is a good feature.Think of optimization of the ram memory. Everyone knows how bad Win98 dealed with the ram memory, it was a devestating abuse. A good utility that can defrag the memory in realtime would be a grate feature.
Besides care and control of the ram, registry, harddisk. I know how incredibbely difficult it is too make a program that knows how to deal with thousands, maybe hundredofthousands of diffirent factors. But i am absolutely convinced that you should do something with parralelling programming, this due too the rise of manycore processors. There are not many programs who are designed too get the max out of the cores and multithreading technology. I know how incredibbly difficult this is at the moment, this type of programming is still in its childhood but if you guys would succeed in making these type of programs, I know it would give a revolutionary boost at the performance of your programs next too the great performance you guys today giving in your programs.
Back to the optimization initiative, I find it logical to believe that a program that is ment to protect vital system areas must also take care of it and make sure it is running as it should be. I strongly believe that security and optimization go hand in hand with eachother. There a lot of programs who are combining these things I am glad too see this happen because these used to be to different worlds.
As for the comodo team I know you guys got famous because you make products that are looking forward in too the future comparable with securityvendors and I am finding that fascinating for a company that isn't a real securityvendor. I know you will come with a procuct that will be the badguys one step ahead and that will keep other securityvendors one step behind. That is how I know you guys and that is how I want to remember you guys.
Thank you.

Thanks..
clean up the important stuff so that there is no deficiency..hmm...(like registry cleaner etc)...
plus identify how else we can improve optimisation...
worth checking..
thanks

I think an obvious one is you should add routing functions to Comodo
Look at all the people having trouble with ICS.
Sure routers are cheap, but ... well they are cheap. It's nearly impossible to accurately monitor your traffic when you have some low budget SOHO router.
Plus, there are few good offerings out there and none that come to mind with as much firewall power.
Seems like a perfect combination to me... all your filtering/routing in one app.
However, you in my opinion you should probably just update Comdo faster.
You really want to look at the demand for these apps. Firewalls for XP are in high demand.
More advanced intrusion detection would be nice
Easier to follow rules.
A MUCH more advanced monitoring system.
The way I see it, you should build the rule making right into the Firewall Events part of Comodo.
You should make Comodo monitor centric because of the type of users you're aiming for.
A MUCH simpler way to manage a firewall is to watch the traffic in real time and simply click on the stuff you want to make rules up for.
The way you have it now you have to go through maze of rules
AT THE VERY LEAST
Make Comodo display in the Firewall Event section WHAT RULE IS BLOCKING the different events.
I'm in a situation where I have blocked events and NO IDEA how it's happening. Putting that all in the Firewall Event monitor would be ideal..or maybe even merge Network Traffic and Firewall Events into some cool one stop central control element.
So, I'm still new to Comodo, but not to rule based firewalls. Still, each is very different.
Seems to me you have some tough competition from the Linux and BSD world though since stuff like pfsense is a free yet fully production level firewall. The more you can standardize your rules and interface approach to be like the production level Linux/unix/bsd stuff the better. BUT with all the added extras of a personal software firewall.
As it stands I feel the rules aren't easy enough to manage and the network and even monitoring more or less sucks.
Can you make it so that we could actually see what processes are injecting into SVCHOST for instance.
That would be of fairly great help when you really get into making strong rules.

A software that manages to make you really feel happy, even if you are not...

Yes what I would like to see is a Comodo Security suite! Yes I say 1 whole bundle of the comodo security products that are available! Yes! But the innovation must be that it will be based on modules! Yes, if you dont want cavs for example than you can get the suite without it! The benefits speak for them selfs, you have 1 tray icon and just 1 userinterface and 1 guideline, and hopefully less memoryresources! Yes would be great, your verry own self customized comodo security suite!!!
I deeply appoligize if this suggestion has been posted earlier, nevertheless I find it a great option. I hope you find my posts usefull,
Kind regards.

Hi. When CAVS 3 (Comodo Antivirus) will be finished and integrated into the CFP 3, then a translation tool will be provided. I'm sure Rasmus Ragwing
http://forums.comodo.com/profiles/ragwing-u19668.html
SirDrinksALot will come up with a translation to Swedish language

HI all!
I want comodo to develop webshield protection. I want you guys make a product that makes you surf verry safe, because you can surf in a sort of another virtual reality but you still have all the functional options you have when browsing without a webshield. I am talking about a product that puts your webbrowser in a sort of sandbox, a playground created by virtualization! Because the real threats like exploits and drive by downloads wont affect a virtual environment!!
Okey,
Have a nice day!

how about Disk Shield?
a product that puts your hd to back to where it was before..no changes are recorded during the session.. nothing has happened...amnesia...
This is for the whole PC...which is much more powerful than just for a browser as there are ways to break thru sandboxes at the moment (unfortunetly, lets see if we can find a solution for that)..
check it tomorrow..lets see what santa brings... (ok its a beta.. but still.. we love santa!!)
