Could you develop sidebar gadgets that can have menus and functions built right in. For instance a gadget that would give live website certificate information, information about files being actively scanned, and active network connections. Maybe a cool way that you could drag a file into the widget and have it scan the file or add it to a section of the HIPS, or maybe as a way to encrypt/backup the file.
