Hmm...maybe I'll start a company and become a CEO too, and you can send it too me also.   Laugh
Well ok, when will it go to beta? (And what do you think about the CEO version, if there is one?)

And another idea for a name could be "Kit" after like "Clean-up", "Fix-up", "Utility", etc.

So what you're really looking for is a new brand name, right? Not just a single program name that simply leaves out the "Comodo" part? Anyway some thoughts:

Khameleon - C/K switch like with Comodo/Komodo. Way too close to the browser K-Melon. Bad idea. Using a common theme, like animal names, help show the relationship, however, there aren't many good names in this area. Let's go a different route...

Domodo or something *omodo - D for desktop, I guess. Common endings show a easily recognizable relationship while setting them apart. Take for example the names ending with -zilla (also reptile-based, btw). It's the best way to show the relationship without referencing the name itself. IMO, this is the way to go. It also scales well. Just change the first letter(s) for future product lines, e.g. Fomodo for file-sharing/managing apps, Gomodo for mobile apps (as in "on the go"), Promodo for advertising services (as in promote), etc. Instead of Domodo, maybe Accomodo. Compare the Italian meanings (very similar in other Latin-based languages) for "comodo" http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/comodo and "accomodo" http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/accomodo. The latter meaning:
   1. to repair, to fix
   2. to arrange, to accommodate
Very fitting and both are Latin-derived (good because it conveys meaning in many different languages). There are other connections. However, I'm sure the cleverness would be lost on most so just go with something that sounds good.

Yes, I know this a bit of a bump, but is there any news? Huh
Is it that most of the team is working on CIS & CDS?
Is what I suggested currently in development, or are you waiting til you fix the bugs in CIS & add new features to it?

A lot of questions, hope they can be answered.

There are separate teams (and even subteams for some software, like CIS, if I remember correctly), so I don't expect CIS/CDS to cause delays for "Comodo Desktop Suite". As usual I'm just a user though, so I may be wrong. Wink
