Hi all,
I am new to comodo, how would you all rate it to say zone alarm firewall.

Zonealarm was a joke from day one. It advertised itself as an "intrusion detection system", and that much was pretty accurate. People confused that application with firewalls, somehow.
ZA was based on the True Vector engine. True Vector was designed, engineered, built, and sold as a data mining system, for the big companies on Wall Street. It was very effective - everyone who owned a computer in those days probably recieved spams, tailored to their browsing habits, thanks to True Vector.
How a data miner was transformed into a firewall is beyond me. No matter HOW good it might become in the future, I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.
Does True Vector still phone home? Of course, ZA wouldn't tell you if it did, LMAO
The white paper on True Vector isn't as easy to find as it once was, but this link cuts to the heart of it...
