Hi turnorburn,
Sure it was mentioned before (Search feature is a healthy thing Wink )

The idea was basically dismissed by many at least few times & there are many more reasons for not seeing that development ever

As an example - here is one of the threads:
https://forums.comodo.com/empty-t74689.0.html;msg532873;topicseen#msg532873

Cheers!

Thanks for the reply i used to think Comodo would stick with building the best firewall until they started to expand. Since then they have tried to build everything under the sun an OS isn't out of the question but that's for them to know..

Thanks..

I think a disinfection feature would be the best utility now that Comodo have built a rescue disk.

I still like the idea of an OS, not building a security feature for Linux but instead building the most secure OS, using the Comodo Dragon logo of course, they probably already have one baking in the oven..  Thumb Up

Thanks..

i think an OS is beyond comodo. comodo is a security company. i think the most they will do with an OS is a bootable environment (CRD)

Comodo Rescue disk is an from the grund an OS with comodo tools.
No, it is not “an OS” by any means in the 1st place
Please read what users are talking about

Then, without going into details regarding many weaknesses of Comodo Tools, what is
Quote
... an from the grund...
? I do understand that it was a typo... possibly “ground” Huh

Thanks

I'd be surprised if Comodo isn't already developing an OS. Couldn't you pretty much build it the way you wanted, Google did, but when they did it was for different reasons. Awe don't pay any attention to me I'm still waiting for BOClean to come back as a stand alone..

I very much doubt Comodo is building their own OS, with the exception of the Rescue Disk.

If they did, it would be very much like the common Linux OS.

Hi,

How about a validation system for people, like a regular passport.
Maybe some type of electronic passport.

Could be used by chat room providers, social networks etc. to prove identity and avoid any of
the issues relating to people misleading others about their age, gender, etc.

Possibly going forward it could be leveraged to governments etc, replacing the 'paper' passport system.

I know there will be issues relating to 'data protection' and so on....so would need
quite a lot of investigation/analysis and probably strict standards set on whats allowed for 'validation'.
