i was thinking about that myself just yesterday actually...

i don't have an answer for now......but thinking about it...thx.

i can see why DACS was put on hold. there were many other things more useful to develop (valkyrie, BB etc) but it would be good to see it come back

well you can count on me to keep reminding you because it would be really helpful to run one scanner and get the benefit of all the scanners out there at the same time. does DACS still work on the one version of cce that came with DACS?

Here is an idea.... How about someone out there develop a program that allows people to access social networks without having them have the rights to use your comments for hammering you with ads about what you like. I do not use social networking. I would love to. It would be nice to talk with friends from long ago. The problem is they collect information about you. I hate that!.

I'd like to see 2 products developed by Comodo:

1.  A "TOR Button" toggle switch for Dragon similar to "Proxy Switchy"...but that actually works without a user needing 8 years of studies in network engineering...no torrc file hacking...no manual port configurations...just install it and go.  I'm weary of TOR fans always pronouncing that Firefox is the only browser wotrh using when it is obvious that Dragon is better....it just needs help using TOR...and a trustworthy exit from TOR...which brings me to item #2

2. The second product I'd love to see is Comodo Dragon's next release pre-configured with the following search engines:

https://DuckDuckGo.com (DEFAULT - since they provide a TOR enclave - http://www.gabrielweinberg.com/blog/2010/08/duckduckgo-now-operates-a-tor-exit-enclave.html )

Other SSL search options:
https://ixquick.com
https://www.startpage.com
https://ssl.scroogle.org  (Currently under maintenance at the time of this posting)

and...if you absolutely must...  https://encrypted.google.com

Can this happen anytime soon?

Hello, here are a few suggestions about new software products you might introduce in the future that will fit perfectly in your portfolio of a privacy respecting company:
1. An e-mail client. Why? Well, now the only 2 viable free choices are Mozilla Thunderbird and Microsoft Live Mail, and I find Thunderbird remarkably sluggish, whilst Live Mail just isn't that good + it doesn't offer many privacy controls, an area in which Comodo is leader.
2. A file/folder ecnryption/protection software. There aren't many free of those either, and the ones available aren't very reliable and/or have limited functionality in free versions. Now, as far as I know, a lot of people would like to encrypt/password protect their files, right now I do this with my Sandisk Ultra Backup drive, but it would be so much easier if I could just encrypt files straight on my computer as well. If this product proves to be successful I think it could also develop in a file-sharing cloud system, kind of like Dropbox, but offering better privacy controls and etc., the stuff you guys do best.
3. Now, I know this probably won''t happen, but I will be glad if it does - a download manager. I know that there is the Comodo Dragon browser and it's awesome, BUT, and this is a big but, some people, like me, can not use Chromium based browser, because as good as they are, they still can't handle certain things(unfortunately my major is economics and not programming, so I don't know exactly what this is, I believe some format of web programming) like online banking for example, or other web applications, that prove to be quite important for some people. Now, I don't blame you for choosing this core, as it has its benefits as well, but that is why I am asking for a Comodo download manager - so we can have that Comodo grade download security and privacy on other browsers, like Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer, and not only on Dragon.

However, the thing I'd like to see first is the e-mail client, as I really think it can be a serious hit - a free, very secure and private e-mail client is something that many people would want to use.

Cheers,
Nick

I don't think it counts, as it's not a standalone program, meaning that if I want to use it, I would have to install and start using Opear instead of my current browser, which I don't really think it's worth it.

I think if comodo were to create an internet telephone service and sell prepaid plans coupled with hacker demoralizing encryption they would have a beast. I love comodo and run their programs all the way down to my android. The other thing is an operating system but that could prove to be a tricky venture because even if it starts out impenetrable eventually a future mit scholarship handout will screw the system. Gotta love us young idiots right? Actually this might piss off DC but why not create a web based browser that has a key scrambler,IP changer, dummy info for those privacy killers we know and love, and last but not least all your activity doesn't log into your computer it gets clear after you log out. That would be a true marvel and I believe the web is like space no one can lay claim to territories because it goes on forever and is thus limitless. So a truly private experience would be something to smile about.

Create a software router/NAT please. Something that can allow people to share internet to multiple adapters at once, not like windows' builtin ICS can with only one, custom routing rules, port forwarding and the likes. Basically able to turn your PC into a router. There is VERY little of this stuff out there. I think it would be original.

Dear Comodo,
please insert a possibility to STOP the automatic update of the Virus-signatures
(in german language= automatisches Aktualisieren der Viren signaturen)!
Every  time I am skyping, or doing something on my bank-account a longer time,
this funktion eats my whole CPU-space, and the contact breaks...
Although I have "week" Vaio Laptop ( PCG-Z1XSP from 2004), you certainly understand,
that an upgrading every half hours, using 90-100% CPU, cannot be neccessary... Embarrassed

If you wish I could take a look, so make a thread and PM the thread, and I will take a look

I guess the user wants an option to interrupt the started automatic update.
