Hi there!!

I will very appreciate (and think that others too...) if the COMODO team will develop a strong, powerful and sophisticated porn blocker program to protect our boys when they surf through the internet.

Thanks in advance!!

COMODO is working on a new version of COMODO Secure DNS which will have that very feature. You can find the info here>https://forums.comodo.com/news-announcements-feedback-dns/new-version-of-comodo-secure-dns-next-month-t80673.0.html

The site is still inactive but you still find the info on the features here>http://securedns.dns.com/features/

Hopefully that info will help.  Smiley

Hi atar,
1st , why “protect our boys”? What about girls?  Smiley  Do you know how many girls (rather females) visiting those sites … seriously!

Then, please read requests / answers / opinions about “Parental Control Software” here in this forum
And/or use several existing Software. They all can help somehow, but easily circumvented anyway.
Ask any teenager whether boy or girl & they will show you at least dozen ways  - easy & nothing you can do
(well nothing you should do re: the matter, I may say, except having good relationship, trust & normal talk/discussions with you kids when they've reached certain age)

… But blocking “all porn sites” is just completely wrong idea as a concept.

In addition it’s impossible (well unless you manage to shutdown whole multibillion & still rapidly growing industry, which exists for thousands of years... therefore it could be a purpose.. have you ever read/thought about it?).
That would be simply waste of time creating such Software. It is not needed & it is basically very much harmful

What would be the next request? Creating Comodo’s Spyware in order to control your kids or spouses?
How wrong; indecent & mainly dirty (much more that porn sites visiting) that will be?
Again, you can get such Software as well, it’s available – easy. It’s just depending on your moral code.
And if you do – you moral code is corrupted badly as far as I can judge such action.

COMODO is working on a new version of COMODO Secure DNS which will have that very feature. You can find the info here>https://forums.comodo.com/news-announcements-feedback-dns/new-version-of-comodo-secure-dns-next-month-t80673.0.html...
Hi eddie.lucas18,
Where did you get that info in the 1st place in the referred thread & since when DNS servers are blocking porn sites as a whole?
“How to”? Please read & learn (if you want) – that will not be easy and straight forward not saying that that’s not needed at all.
Any site that can cause infection because of many reasons should be analyzed (by code… not by community ratings like WOT) and then if malicious behavior suspected – user is notified about the reasons of blocking the site. But that applies to any site you are visiting. Am I right?
So you can be infected just by visiting legit but compromised security sites. I hope you know that (there are many examples) and you can be infected by fake (stressing) porn site, compare to legit porn site, so what is a problem, actually?
Sure other discussions re: porn sites as a whole is out of scope here
Cheers!

Thanks Melih,

But url filtering is basically a part of any already existing "DNS products" and many others alike
That was one (not all) of my points within the reply above

So, the answer given by you at the moment, means nothing to less experienced users who posted such inappropriate & incorrect request
You will not  implement "a complete porn blocker program" whether is sophisticated or not, would you? Am I right?

My regards

I would agree with SyberLynx as this is a form of censorship.
Build a relationship with your kids. Develop your trust in them.
That is all you can and should do.

Exactly John!
Thanks for the support & yes - there is no other way
As I pointed the issue by itself not as bad as many people present it "assuming & summarizing" incorrectly ; being biased for many existing reasons (Offtopic)
The only way any Security Software should look & approach this - is being able to block (hopefully without many FPs Winkany site that can impose danger it terms of infecting your computer irrespectively... no matter whether it's porn or other site

Well...  otherwise, users who are still insisting can just sign as supporters of SOPA/PIPA/ACTA & other crap
... Yeah! & then support any "Federal Trojan" ... to be continued ?  Cheesy

Cheers!
