malware alarm removal

found a bogus program on my fathers pc the other day called malware alarm.could not uninstall it at first.tried everthing.in the end i used spybot which you can get free.i run the program and it seems to have done the trick.just thought i would share this info to other forum users who might be having similar problems.The program is goading you to purchase the program which is useless. after running antivirus it found the infected file in system volume restore.
