Help topics for quarantine items are not well detailed.  For example, virus scan detected digstream.exe on my machine (belongs to Disney/ESPN)  and quarantined the process item.  If I delete item from quarantine list will ALL instances of digstream in my registry be removed?  The main thrust of this question is to provide a better working knowledge of quarantine actions and I would like to remove digstream totally from my system.

CAVS, and other AVS (AFAIK), quarantines the suspect code objects only. When they're removed from quarantine, only that object is removed from your system, not the entire installation trace (registry entries, shortcuts etc..).

Running a registry cleaner after deleting objects frm quarantine should remove the registry entries.

Cheers,
Ewen :-)
