HI!

VE has to have a database wich includes bad websites, so when visiting such a site you will see a red border and a soundalert!! makes internet much safer.

ok, have a nice day.

what is the definition of a bad site?
thanks

I would guess this would mean having a blacklist of known phishing sites for example, in addition to the whitelist of verified sites.

VE checks the website you see and if it is the right website it gives a green border. But if I am on a phisingsite it doesn't say anything. VE must have a blacklist or something. Now, VE must check also sites wich contains malware and has to warn you for sites that are using drive by download code.

ok, hope i explained myself better.

Have a nice day.

Re: Dual Monitor/Screen Error

I recently installed VEngine... love it! But one minor hiccup occurs which I'm sure can be fixed.

I have dual screens with my main desktop on the left and when I surf with firefox on the right screen and the green verification border pops up on the left screen it looks a bit odd.  Although it works okay if I move firefox to the left screen, obviously.

This led to confusion when I had firefox opened on both screens and couldnt work out which window it was verifying.

The mouse trail action works fine on the right but the window border it's just not right (pun)... I mean ithe right hand screen.

Anyone seen this before and know of a possible fix to this?

I never uninstalled CVE, just killed the program during startup.  The program (I think) integrated with my browser, due to the sites still being verified by CVE, even though the main program is no longer loading at Windows startup.

Supports all major browsers
says the VEngine site.
But still no Opera support? http://www.vengine.com/products/vengine/index.html
VEngine is no use to me if it doesn't work with Opera.

Wondered if you caught my hint about adding a "hover over" feature to help reduce ClickJacings to V.E. ?!

This will not stop it, but will make the user aware that that link was hijacked.

Hi Weaker, so you'll take this to the bank for a reliably FREE program, how bout' using another browser that does support it in the meanwhile until Opera is supported? You can run more than one browser if you want to so for the time being what's your point? Give them a break dude, they'll get to it soon enough, move on to more important issues for now (J) Wink

Xman: I have FF3 installed but my browser of choice is Opera. VEngine is a feature that you want to have "always on". Therefore I'd have to switch completely to Firefox what I won't do. So I have to wait until VEngine for Opera is ready. I just wanted to remind them, that they are not yet supporting all major browsers  Smiley

My verification program does not work, despite two downloads ! The first operation works okay, but after that my browser will not load and in general my machine stops operating, I cannot close anything. I have to reboot for anything to work but as soon as I run VER'  again the same problems reappear.
So I have now uninstalled but would like to get your prog to work. can anyone help??

My system is XP Pro SP3,  browser is Firefox. Sad

Hi,

Would it be possible to add the option to disable "transparent borders" ?
So people using older hardware <32bit graphics could still use VEngine properly.

It was sad that the improvements broke the app for all these users.

Thanks
