Verification Engine Not Responding

Having enjoyed the use of Verifcation Engine for several months, it has stopped responding.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling.
It still loads onto my task bar.
Firewall permissions remain same, maximum permission.
Verification Plug In 2.5.0.4.
Thank you for any help you can provide.
