Comments on NORTON 2008...

If you were to receive a licensed NORTON 2008, will you use it or not?

My ASUS P5Q SE2 came with a free NORTON 2008, and you can install it along with the drivers of the motherboard. I think it is a full version.

DO NOT use NORTON 2008 !!! :o It’s slow, buggy and the detection is poor. 2009 and 2010 are better.

Get something free instead ! CIS or Avast or Avira or AVG

I will not use it.

Use one of follwoing Antivirus.

1.Antivir :-TU
2.Avast
3.CAV

Paid Antivirus.
1.Kaspersky 2010 :-TU
2.Nod32 V.4
3.Norton Antivirus 2010

What about AVG?
I will not use AVG. :-TD

My Asus notebook came with a free trial of NIS 2009 for 3 month. Not worth the effort :stuck_out_tongue:

But don’t forget to use the Norton removal tool :

ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

Greetz, Red.

hmm, i’ve several times removed preinstalled NIS on my laptops using Revo uninstaller. never needed norton removal tool. O0

How does CCleaner uninstaller compares with Revo?

Revo is better. Uninstalls cleaner

yo bro… my friend give me a copy of keygen of norton 360 with 11years license… although it illegal. i have to try if before i recommended to my company and if it good then we’ll buy it for our director… but…
