Interesting KB article here. I have TWO important question though:
1. If someone is using an "invalid internal domain" (as the KB article suggests) such as MYSITE.GOB, why someone is not eligible to issue a UCC if the TLD
GOB is not recognized by IANA/ICANN as a valid TLD?
One could argue that its not allowed because there's a strong chance it might become a valid TLD in the very near future. It's slightly already in use by Spanish-speaking countries to some degree already. (gob.ar, gob.mx, etc.)
2. Are Verisign-Symantec, GeoTrust and others following the CAB Forum guidelines already?
Or is it only COMODO? In case they are, is there any proof they are following the CAB Forum guidelines?
I don't think they're required to furnish proof but chances are they're following it to the letter.
