how about making these "discussion forums" available on USENET. I loathe these BBS formats, why do they all have to be a bit different - the advantage of Usenet is that it all looks the same, ie substance trumps form. Killing animated smileys is fun for the first five minutes, but as with all arcade games one soon grows tired.
