I would say try privately to let them know what you found?  Some will listen and try to find a solution and some will ignore your observations.

But at least Comodo and you have tried to help them improve their product.

If you find any questionable items in Qnext, you can contact them privately via their support forum or myself and I will pass on what you found, and why you question it.

For those programmers that do resolve questionable issues, it makes it easier for Comodo to concentrate on blocking or eliminating the malware.

I left all settings at default, and wondered if there were any settings you would recommend  Thinking
The only other wish right now is for the Memory Firewall Window not to remain open when starting up for the 1st time.   Wink

Thank You for looking into Qnext  Thinking   Cheers

That's so nice to have a forum connected with the product, anyways I looked for some substitute for Kerio Firewall 2.12 and I found Comodo is doing the job great ..

That Board design is funny, thus why are these so many "proactive defense" suspicious attempt ?? 1 per second, that's hot

+ Missing multilanguage forums anyways ..

Dear Comodo,
I regret very much that I have to tell you that I had to uninstall all Comodo products I had on my computers.

Comodo Firewall 2.4 couldn't remember the programmes I had allowed to pass. This was very annoying. I liked the firewall very much, with just one exception: it can't stealth port 113 (IDENT), which I regretted.

So when version 3.0 was published I installed it on two of my computers. On one computer it ran without a hitch, but took some workload to run (both in memory as in CPU time). On my master computer however I immediately came across the 100% CPU time problem that has been much discussed in this forum. I had to uninstall it, and to turn back to version 2.4, where I immediately ran across the memory problem again.

Since this summer I had also BOClean running on my 4 computers (of which 3 are desktops, the fourth one being a laptop). This afternoon BOClean stopped working properly. I heard my master computer's fan coming on, checked the cause, and saw that BOClean consumed over 50% of CPU-time. I let it run for an hour or so, hoping it was a scan of some sort, but I don't believe that was what was going on.
I even restarted the computer (which took some time because it had slowed down to less than 10% of its normal speed. To no avail, after restarting BOClean went on consuming CPU time as before.
I couldn't access the configuration screen, I couldn't see what was going on. This led to just one option: Uninstall.

*** Modification Friday 21 Dec.: I still had BOClean on my music computer, and this one went haywire this morning - exactly the same problem as on my main computer. After uninstalling BOClean this computer ran as smoothly as ever again. ***

I like Comodo's mission and views, and I like the style of your programmes, but I can't work with programmes that I can't control, that don't show what they are doing, that I can't access at all times.

Dear Comodo, I will regularly check whether your programmes have become less buggy, but for the time being I will not use them again.
I use PCTools Firewall now, and I must say, this has accellerated my computer considerably - and although the test results are not as good as Comodo's, I have some confidence.

Sorry, things are as they are.
I hope to come back soon.

Thinking  Hi guys, don't know whether I'm on the right forum page but anyways here goes....I blocked all traffic with the Comodo firewall while I was doing a virus scan (Comodo anti-virus) the scan came up negative and I powered off my machine... This morning I powered up the PC completely forgetting that I had blocked all traffic the previous night, so after an hour checking my cables and connections as to why I couldn't connect to the Internet doh!, I realised that "Block all traffic" was still in operation.
My question is: Could the devs put something on the "Green tick shield" to show that all traffic is blocked??

Many thanks

If you have the animation turned on, you should see that there's no traffic activity happening on Block All.  However, I do agree with you, and seem to recall that before the animation with 2.4, the shield turned red when Block All was on (I could be mistaken though; that was a while back...).

It was red with block all and green with allow all in v2.x, and we agree that the colours should be reversed, and it's requested in the wish list for v.3.x

I answered "No" because :
Why should I trust anybody other than me with that decision ?

gordon has a very good point...

Still, I voted yes.  While the final decision on whether I will trust any site rests solely with me, a green light from Comodo would certainly influence my decision.

I've shelled out my hard earned cash for McAfee and Norton/Symantec in the past, but both pale in comparison to Comodo's products.

Its a bit scary to think that if I'd trusted my ex-wife half as much as trust Comodo, we might still be married.   Laugh
