It looks like an interesting alternative to CTM (or Returnil) even if it doesn't work quite in the same way. It's a mixture of sandbox and time machine. It virtualizes the system and erases changes on reboot. You can protect specific folders as well.
I think there are less chances of compatibility problems than with other similar but more complex programs.
It's paid but there is a free lifetime promotion right now.
