R u giving a conclusion that CIS is inferior??? In my opinion CIS is superior in all aspects. Why comparison with only one firewall? If improvement of CIS is the ultimate mission, keep more options like what aspect of which firewall is better. This is my humble opinion.

Comodo is better because i have with Avast Antivirus a USB worms and Avast not detected this malware. When i install Comodo Firewall and insert a USB device Comodo Ask me that a Application RavMon copy yourself in USB... Before Comodo i have sygate and not detected Worms.

Comodo Firewall is better for me.

I test Comodo Internet Security and is more ligth!

Enjoy!

While sygate was a very good firewall in it's day, it hasn't been updated in a very long time because of it's discountinuation.  Comodo's defense + is far superior to most firewalls out there today, or so I think.

Which can protect your O.S registry? Sygate or Comodo?
If you can not understand how to firewall work, you can not understand which is better !!!

With CIS you can choose what registry keys to protect. It will protect the most important ones but you can add to that list.

It's been a long time since I ever used Sygate but if I recall correctly it does not protect registry keys. Sygate is a Classic Firewall in that sense.

I like to call sygate the "venerable sygate" which I used to use and it was to me the best in it's day until symantec bought them out an ruined it. The last one I used was sygate 5.6. But that was in the past and now  am very happy with comodo which works great for me. Just a nostalgia comment.  Thumb Up

I like Sygate because it's more compatible for novice user and advanced users.
Also an inbound defense is good.

But It can't run on Vista and Bought by Symantec since 2005.
I'm so shocked that "Free Firewall" being gone  Sad

I switch to Comodo and everything works fine. Wink

Note : Some dead firewall still works fine, Until Windows XP is dead.
