Because it is designed to protect whole disks, not folders within a disk.
It cannot be made to protect just a folder or just a file - only whole disks.

Hello at all What
I can't understand is why it can't be installed in a Windows partition, to protect ONLY the Windows partition
Kind regards
It can protect the Windows partition and NOT the other ones if you set so, i.e., it works on partitions and not necessarily the whole disk.

Usually you are posting meaningless messages in every possible thread
and giving "advices" where you have no idea....
When that spamming will stop?
In addition usually you are not reading posts you are replying to
Common Latin terms:
etc. (et cetera — and so forth),
i.e. (id est — that is)
, e.g. (exempli gratia — for example), et al. (et alii — and others)

It would be good if you do ever update the Time machine so we can have command line to add/delete schedule and restart the machine also, this way we can issue a command to stop the restore and update windows and then change the baseline and restore again to all machines

saw that "defrag snapshots on startup" is enabled by default - not SSD friendly

I'd like to be able to save snapshots to my external hard drive (on which I have bags of room) rather than my C drive (on which I have very little). Making defragging possible would be nice, too, but it's not so important (for me at any rate).

CTM is not a backup. The snapshots aren't files.
You need to understand the differences on the technology.
CTM is a system restore tool that uses the free space on the protected disks.

Again the technology would be different, as files moving the disk are "new" files that uses the snapshot space...

It has been explain to me why you can't defrag when using CTM is that the defrag program puts the fragments in the space of the timestamps and that space fills up. Why don't you have CTM by itself after let say 90 percent of the space is full delete all unsaved timestamps. I do this manually with CTM 2.6 after every defrag and the amount of space free for new time stamps doesn't change. And a question. Has Comodo decided to stop all future developments of CTM ?

• Allow option to always show "Advanced" mode.
• Setting where missed schedules are run automatically when system start.
• Provide a way to reliably back up images or snapshot states to external device both thru OS and thru boot up.
• Ability to disable with out uninstalling.
○ This allows for usage of defraggers and chkdsk.
• Retrieve files from a crashed PC, even if Windows can not boot
• A better access control - prevent unauthorized users from access.
○ I am tired of having to re-enter user/pass when I want to sync after already logging in.
○ Allow the separation of option to secure at boot with pass authentication and general access control.
• Day Zero Disaster Recovery
• Configure the system to automatically restore to a snapshot of your choice.
• Dynamic disk space management - disk space is recovered upon snapshot deletion.
• Supports Multi-boot systems and VM Ware.
• Consists of multi-partition protection selection.
• Ensure CTM is installed at bit level, below Windows.
• Fix the mounting of snapshots to allow full access.
