Hi,

I just installed the v3.0 and it shuts down every time I run it (no matter if it's registry, privacy...), at about 60%.
I have W7 x64. Any clues?

Thanks

Do you use the latest version (build 53)?

Downloading now, and if it ticks all the right boxes (judging from this thread it will) then away with CCleaner and hello to another program of the Comodo family!  Thumb Up

So what do you think??

After the last Microsoft Upgrade CSC 3.0 didn't operate correctly.  It froze all the windows on the screen so I had to use task manager to close windows of all programs I was using.

No one has this problem, so the info on the machine is unimportant.

The last message I received is ask manufacturer for updaterDLL.dll

I looked all over the net and it seems every application has it's own updater.  Comodo messages come up that read updater missing from your system.  It doesn't exist out there, so could you direct me to a download place on Comodo's site where I can download this.

I have uninstalled and re-installed a number of times, also went back to 2.1, same problem.

I really love this program and the active clean as well as all the other Comodo products I use.

Thank you.

Upgraded from CRC to CSC 3.0 and used it to clean my system. It seemed to work very well. Then I started running other applications and found the computer running significantly slower. Over a short period of time it started exhibiting a number of unusual things, which led me to believe the memory was being corrupted, then froze. After rebooting without running CSC the same thing repeated.

Uninstalled CSC and everything seemed back to normal so I reinstalled the Registry Cleaner to get back to my original configuration and ran it.

After several days, knock on wood, I have a happy computer again.

So what do you think??

Well all I can say is, "WOW!" What a big improvement since last time I used it a long time ago, this has done it for me and CCleaner is no longer, loving the auto clean (cannot be bothered to find out if that is correct name) feature that it has.

Well done Comodo, hope you get more people using this product, as it is very nice!

PS- Now all I need is for Comodo Programs Manager to support Windows 7 64bit so I can compare between that and PSI 2.0 lol... sorry OT.

After a bad experience with pre-V3.0 System Cleaner (had to System Restore to get it back since uninstall didn't work) I decided to try the latest version. My platform is Win7 Home Premium 64 bit, dual core (dual thread) i3-M330, 4GB RAM, regularly patched, and used every day.

Since installing a few days ago I experienced two BSODs, something I have not seen since starting using this machine in April '10. I also saw a tremendous jump in RAM memory utilization due to the Cleaner Validator (I think that is the name) process, which would wake up and suck down vast quantities of CPU on a regular basis even when I wasn't doing anything with the product. After all that I had to uninstall it to reclaim my stable system. I appreciated the vastly improved UI and functionality of the product, but feel that it is way too invasive at a deep level in the OS to be worth my while. I was not suffering from performance issues previously, and take great care regarding privacy with other tools.

I love other Comodo products like Internet Security Premium, Easy VPN, Digital Certs, etc. The Registry Cleaner, however, just doesn't play well for me now as in the past. It seems to go over the line in providing the services it offers at the cost of system stability.

I'd love to hear any feedback from developers, other users, and smart people who might have any insight why my experience with this tool has been so abysmal.

Hello,

Do you have CSC build 53 installed? Can you tell us if you have any "special" software installed, like security software, boot time defrag software? Did you used Active Clean or Safe Delete?

 - I installed CSC_3.0.172695.53_xp_vista_server2003_server2008_win7.exe
 - I am running:
1. MyDefrag v4.3.1, which does run every 24 hours. I typically hibernate at the end of each day and it starts up automatically at the next boot restore.
2. Comodo Internet Security Premium v5.3.176757.1236
3. TruCrypt v7, but not FDE. Only on an external flash drive.
4. Secunia PSI v2.0.0.1003
5. A multitude of plugins for Firefox: WoT, Lastpass, NoScript, AdBlock+, BetterPrivacy, HTTPS-everywhere
(the above are the bulk of security utils that I am using, but doesn't come close to all the other software that is resident in this machine)

I did not use Active Clean or Safe Delete?
