Comodo + Sandboxie leaves any Antivirus precious little to do but update its database.

If CIS is so good then it would preform better in the tests. Sorry.

Sorry for your ancient Antivirus protected computer because how well Comodo performs depends on which tests you choose to use for evaluation. In the highly regarded Matousec Proactive Security Challenge which perfectly suits its excellent quality HIPS detection Comodo has scored 100% for months on end with
all other security suites tested having an inferior score
...
Since I am one of the many computer users who have not used an Antivirus software in many years with no detection of Malware of any kind on any of my computers Antivirus test scores are completely useless although they may be somewhat useful if you are still trying to protect your computer with antiquated 20th Century bloated blacklist Antivirus software.

And in the latest test, CIS dropped to 94%. And the next product ranked at 86% is said to be "VERY GOOD". 86% is not very good.
If CIS does worse and worse then the Matousec test will not be as highly regarded just like CIS's history in other tests it use to do well in.

CIS has not dropped.. I believe that's CIS's initial test score. That's the 64bit test that you're looking at there. Whereas Maxxwire posted the 32bit test scores (not all firewalls support 64bit yet).

It is very good according to Matousec.. but, I do believe that their 64bit test is very tough/hard. I certainly don't think they expected any product to get as high as 94% on the 64bit test this early. It took awhile for any product to reach 94% on their original 32bit test.

Yes it did drop. 94% in the latest test is less than the 100% in the old test Maxxwire pictured...
http://www.matousec.com/projects/proactive-security-challenge/
"Proactive Security Challenge has been replaced with Proactive Security Challenge 64!"
So you are saying the firewall that comes with CIS 64-bit doesn't support 64-bit?
Now I like CIS and it is currently installed on many of my personal and client PCs, but it is somewhat alarming that other tests rank CIS low.

CIS has not dropped on either the
32bit test
or the
64bit test
. Follow my links & please check again (read the text if you wish). CIS's
first
and
only
score for the 64bit was and is 94%. So, it couldn't have dropped.. it's only been tested
once
.
If you follow the "Proactive Security Challenge has been replaced with Proactive Security Challenge 64!" then obviously that will take you to the 64bit test page, skipping the 32bit test results below that link (what Maxxwire posted).

No, I am not saying that. I'm not sure how CIS would get 94% on the 64bit test if it didn't support 64bit. Where did you read that in my post?

Sorry, I really don't know what you're looking at. CIS scored 100% on the
32bit test
and 94% on the
64bit test
. Putting CIS in first place for both tests.. hardly a low rank or alarming.

The 32-bit test is no longer valid as the 32-bit test has been replaced with the 64-bit test.

And once again those are no longer valid. The last 32-bit test was done on February 17, 2011 when CIS was version 5.3.176757.1236 and now it is 5.10.228257.2253...

When you said "(not all firewalls support 64bit yet)." Why mention that if CIS already does?

It's not an argument. The whole reason I started this thread was asking why CIS was failing these other tests. I had kind of hoped CIS would step up it's game and start winning at them instead of just getting hyped up. Please read the entire thread again.

Matousec's 32bit tests are not valid you say.. multiple times. The 32bit test
results
are still valid because not all firewalls (excluding CIS) support 64bit yet. Read Matousec's web site, they never said anything was invalid. CIS has dropped you say, multiple times. This is why I first posted.. because CIS hasn't dropped. Then you seamlessly switch from Matousec's firewall test results to AV results, imply that I've not read this topic & drop the accusation of hyping. I'll leave the hyping to others thanks, I'm done.
PS CIS's Matousec 64bit tests results have
not
dropped.

It's really pretty simple. Matousec came up with a new test and Comodo got 94% on this new test. Same organization....different test.

Matousec said they replaced the test. I cannot explain it any simpler than that. That usually means the results of replaced tests can no longer be valid unless we were all still using CIS 5.3x and 32-bit OSes. You claim it is still valid and CIS has not dropped. You will have to explain then why CIS didn't drop though it went from 100% to 94%. I am sorry but that is a 6% drop.

That's what I have been trying to say. The old test is no longer valid if it is no longer being performed and has been replaced with a new test.
Same organization....different test....different/lower result....

Yes, 94 is lower than 100, but that doesn't mean the protection is worse. Given that this new test tests more things than the old test, it is likely that had this new test been done on the older versions that got 100%, their results would be lower than the 94% that Comodo most recently received. Of course that is just my speculation, but it illustrates why you cannot compare these results to the results from the old test.

Of course that cannot be answered unless the new test is run on the same CIS version and virus signature database used in the old test. Anything regardless would be speculative.
Like I have said throughout these 4 pages so far... I WANT CIS TO SUCCEED!!!
