Safesurf only protects ur pc when your internet browser is open, cmf protects you all the time!

Looking forward to this release, ive missed threatcast quite a lot since the .327 beta last year!

This is not true SafeSurf(SS) and SStoolbar(SST) are 2 different Apps.  SS protects all Apps running on the PC and not just the browser and does not require SST nor the browser to be active.  SST is just a toolbar addin.  SS requires the install of SST to be installed, however you can go back and uninstall or or disable the SST Addin and you will be left with just Safe surf.

I was not using the SST nor SS for a long time because I do not like toolbars.  I thought they were mutually dependent, not separate apps.

CMF will be included with the next release of CAS.  I am not sure if this will require the removal of SS, but logic would tell you, that it is not advisable to run 2 memory firewalls simultaneously. The next release of CIS will include heuristics  as well in the AV, also the signature DB is has been growing rapidly and this rate is expected to increase.

Thanks for making SS and CMF functionallity clear. I also ran my PC without SS becuse of the toolbar, then I read about protecting the whole PC and I installed it.

Cant wait for the new release!!!!

Last year, October 2008. There is no closed beta currently running that I'm aware of.

Then I vote (and it is a guess, as I do not know) for your birthday then, and your 50th at that! Many happy returns in advance. Smiley
