Did anybody notice that the 'Release notes' where available when the updater said there where updates  Grin

Now there's undeniable evidence of progress in CIS!

I hate to be a wet blanket, but something is different (in a bad way) about this release.

Previously, when I added folders to the exclusion AV "Exclusions" list, they were excluded properly. Now they are not.  I have to remember to turn of the AV before  my backup program is scheduled to run, or the program errors.

What a headache, can it please be fixed back like it was?

Can you please file a bug-report and give more details about what is not working with which software and what detections it shows?
I can't reproduce the issue from this, I have tried a excluded folder and no alert is given...

Too many apps to list, about 50

Mostly NirSoft programs, and AV scanners and utilities that harbor known malware code bits.

When I run my backup program, "CreateSynchronicity", Comodo AV blocks and quarantines them.

I removed all entries in the "trusted" list and re-added them. Didn't help, my files still get whacked.

I have the full pack of Nirlauncher also, no issues here.

Can you verify via Defense+ View Active Process List if the verdict of CreateSynchronicity is 'Trusted' ?
It seems the backup software triggers something... Does it alert if you 'browse' the folders with explorer? or does it work then as expected?

Yea, it works for you, because you're not an idiot.  Grin

Would you believe I forgot to check the "Include Files From Subfolders Too" checkbox? Yep, that was the whole "problem". I've checked that box 20 times, but forgot it this time.

1000 apologies, but maybe you should ban me anyway.

Maybe you should delete this whole thread, or maybe it should stand as a reminder of my stupidity.

Thanks, you guys are great!

Both can be arranged but I think I'm in a friendly mood today so I'll leave it with this  Grin
Glad it's solved.

You can also use C:\Folder\Nirsoft\* on the exception list saves a bunch of entries in the list.

Do you mean you cannot update the av definitions? Do you get an error message and what is this message?

What is GUI
Visual graphics used to allow user to interact with programs/devices in preference to needing typing commands (Text).
GUI = Graphical user interface

wondering....

when ever I open the program, the gui box is always in the same screen position. Is there a way to have it open where I set it on screen myself after opening? it gets annoying as most programs set themselves to open where they are positioned by the user.

I have problems with this new .....2197 version. After I updated CIS, my Trusted software vendors list was dead. The list is still there, but doesn't work and for every application CIS is creating new same entry in TSV list.
This has already happened before in and seems to be some bug.

Does running the diagnostics help?
