Comodo Internet Security.Never Shaken NeverStirred

I trust that Comodo would not risk their reputation. I have trust in Comodo, the unknown is not necessarily bad. Paranoia can make life uncomfortable. Kind regards.

100% agree.
Trust is hard to come by nowadays.
The majority of computer users do seem to have an air of suspicion and paranoia.
Or maybe thats me just being paranoid lol.

regards.

Actually, this is not the most accurate but it's around 10.3k entries. (I remove them manually)

I say that this TVL defeats the purpose of a classical HIPS, it's allowing most things.
Say "Company A" is trusted automatically because it's in the list and then it starts uploading files but D+ never warns because it was trusted . . .

Not even Norton auto trusts files with high reputation it still asks and gives a recommendation.

Since I eliminated the TVL in V5.3 I still get less Defense+ pop-ups than I did in v3.14 so it hasn't been any inconvenience to me.

Hi, JoWa.

Thanks for the explanation of that minor question... but... it's the same, isn't it?  CIS is showing something that a vast majority of users with CIS in english (or other language that uses arabic or even cerillic characters) can't understand (well, sorry, I see this way)
The reason you can not read them is simply because you do not have the correct character encoding installed that can display these characters.
You need to install the appropriate fonts and character encoding mechanisms via the regional and language settings to display cyrillic, Asian and other non latin characters.

This is not the point.
Chinese/Japanese/Korean "signs" can be displayed, but are meaningless for non Chinese/Japanese/Korean people.
For example, you can't perform a search with google to try to understand what the companies are.

V5.4 customized ROCKS!

« Reply #532 on: January 23, 2011, 01:02:54 PM »

Well...

A big 'Thank You!' for all those who tried to answer my question (still without any response).

For those who tried to argue, not being able to answer:  2 pages wasted in vain - you really love chatting, don't you?

Now it's time to stop this!

You all could be able to understand my point, but some got attached to the punctuation or to the exact meaning of some words only.  This isn't helpful.

My curiosity doesn't goes beyond certain limits. Neither my needs.

I'm sorry if I couldn't write "in perfect english" - this isn't my nature language.

Sorry, but I really want to know who are those vendors in a way that I can read/type. I can't type those symbols at my pc and, if I do a copy/paste it doesn't work.
Can somebody give me their address? (http://www.....)
Besides, if my CIS version is in ENGLISH, why does Comodo write their references that way? It's quite non-sense to me, til now.
Here, I'm not argueing about the use of the TVL, and I am an Advanced User at most, not a Techie for sure.

Best Regards,

Any way to fix this duplication.

Hello everyone!
I'm new here but I'm using Comodo Firewall since v2 and I want to say you're doing a great job!
I have a problem, I'm using Comodo Firewall 5.3 and after the update to 5.3.175888.1227 was applied, I started  having problem with DPC Latency, after 8 hours and >8 GB upload with utorrent, DPC Latency variates between 5000-16000 microseconds. If I disable network card or close utorrent, problem disappears. I don't know exactly in which version this bug was present, I think it was last year and I had the same problem with that version.
Can anyone confirm this bug or my problem is caused by another software program? Huh
My specs: Windows 7 x64+SP1, avast! 5.1.889, Comodo Firewall 5.3.175888.1227, utorrent 2.2, latest Realtek drivers for network card.
Thank you!

Ok, I uninstalled SP1 and problem didn't disappear, uninstalled avast, problem still present, installed avast and uninstalled Comodo Firewall and latency disappeared. I installed Comodo again and latency spikes reappeared after 5h.  Cry
Please, can anyone reproduce this bug?
Thank you!
