There's no new release as yet just a slightly larger version of the v5.10 release we already have which now includes a larger installer for the Comodo Dragon browser.

Thanks

Hi all,

I have just joined this forum and I have just started using COMODO Internet Security and so far I love it thank you team.

I do have a few questions though and I hope I have put them in the right place, if I have not then please forgive me..

1. Is it OK to have the Do not show Antivirus alerts box unchecked?  The reason I have done this is so that I can see all alerts that may pop up.

2. If I do put a check in the Do not show Antivirus alerts in the box and change the setting from Quarantine Threats to Block, would that be OK?

3. How safe and effective is CIS in protecting me from ALL kinds of threats, especially ZERO DAY threats?

4. I have COMODO set on PROACTIVE security is that the best one to have it on?
The reason for me doing this because I would like to have the best possible protection  available in this great product.

Take care and hope hope to hear from you soon.

newcomerD :)

They repackaged the installers on April 17th, and did not change the Hashes in the first post.
You can verify the Digital Signature that is valid.
And in this case this installer hashes to:

MD5 4ac140f45f1c7f4fb9a1dd8224ff9ccd
SHA1 1b21b5e6024202e65ce3a62a294ecdc3b894bdca

I have tried DLing the 32/64 and 64 bit versions of CIS and cannot get the same hash codes as posted above by paxx.  Please tell me if these are current and if not what are the current codes.  It would also be nice to have the byte counts posted.  Thanks and enjoy, John.

EDIT:  MY BAD!.  I was looking at the wrong thing.  Hash codes for both the 32/64 and 64 are GOOD.  Byte counts would always be welcome.

It turns out the link posted above by paxx is for the FW not CIS.  Does anyone have the hash codes and byte counts for CIS?  Thanks and enjoy, John.

EDIT: For CIS DLed from Comodo site I'm getting:
Code: [Select]
CRC32: F1D192CB
MD5: 8D25C043876A0FDBCED0443674D0E0E9
SHA-1: 19A5936256E00F8470F6E173237C57F6818CFC9C
and count of 59.9 MB (62,856,768 bytes).

BTW is there a link available to DL a 64 bit only CIS?

Thanks L.A.R. Grizzly , but the problem is that the installer was repackaged on 18 June, so our hash codes would not be expected to agree.  Thanks and enjoy, John.
