It's still not possible to disable the warning, which appears while opening the computer security policy on Defense+ tab.

nope, comodo never said that this is even going to be an option.

Perfect timing on this new release.  I'm expecting a UPS delivery of a new Acer netbook today; this new version is going onto it, first thing.

Thanks!   Thumb Up

Update through the internal updater went smoothly here except for the usual configuration changes not being retained. Two weekly scans were again added to my configuration (I had the list empty). And Firewall Behavior Settings/Advanced/Block Fragmented IP Datagrams became unchecked.
I noticed that too. I think it also reinstated the two automated weekly scans.

Yeah, those were the two I was talking about.

So I assume the cryin for 6 will start any time now, smirks.

What's in 6 that's so hot and not in 5.10?

Why does the program update re-add the default scheduled scans which I purposely deleted?

I noticed that this line: \Device\KsecDD is missing from My Protected Files after the internal update. This is in relation to that thread: http://forums.comodo.com/news-announcements-feedback-cis/comodo-58-bypassed-by-trojan-gpcode-t77548.45.html.
The change log doesn't make it clear if it is incorporated in the new version in some other way or I have to add it manually again.

Because Comodo knows better what you want than yourself...

Delete them again. Few clicks. Problem solved.  Wink

LOL!  So allowing myself to have CIS run a full scan when I am ready for it to is not as good as CIS dictating when it will?  Sigh.

If you can't beat them...join them!
It's not like CIS updates every day or week.  Wink
You can also export/import your current configuration in order to avoid unwanted changes.

Egemen always said he would not deploy such a "hack" as he called it. The AV detects it and it will be properly fixed in v6.

In short. You will have to manually add it again.

Edit:
Ronny added the Quote, it was out of sync because of a topic merge.

nope, comodo never said that this is even going to be an option.
Comodo never said, that this warning would be introduced - but it's there.
There was not only me complaining about this warning. But as usually there was no official statement from Comodo about the introduction of this "Feature" unless I missed it.
I remember many official statements, that CIS would have the best AV after a year of development, but actually its heuristics technology is still terrible, for virus removal we should use CCE instead of CIS. It lacks many configuration options, that other AV softwares have. And the signature update is a cpu hog since the first release of the AV component.

So it doesn't seem to be important, what Comodo officially says or not...

I'm using Defense+ in paranoid mode. I need to go to this dialog pretty often to adept some settings, since there is no way to create a custom rule directly from the alert window (an item on the wishlist since at least version 3 - I can't remember an official statement why this isn't introduced).

Why do I get a warning dialog there, that changing settings may affect my computer's security? In fact changing almost every setting in CIS affects my computer's security. That's clear - it's the security solution of my choice!
The warning implies, that these settings are especially important - but actually - changing some items in "Defense+ settings" without warning can render Defense+ also completely useless.

And no, I don't want a warning on every click in CIS, that this action could affect my computer's security. I'd like a userfriendly CIS for users that don't use the default settings.
