I don't have any of the other things mentioned but I can attest that there are no issues with Ccleaner whatsoever.  Also running XP Pro SP3.

Not having any trouble here either. XP Pro SP3.

This was also highlighted in another thread which I replied to. So would be very nice if Comodo could make sure they keep it relevant when clicking on "update details". I know they have loads of things to do, but hopefully this would be a very small job for them.

It takes a few minutes to update that page. I don't know why is it such a problem each time when a new release appears. For example to add latest release notes to that page for version 3.14.129887.586 all you need to do is to add few lines of html code in proper place:

Quote
<h3>Version 3.14.129887.586 : 28th January, 2010</h3>
      <ul>
<li>FIXED! Defense+ File Protection can be bypassed under certain scenarios</li>
<li>FIXED! Threatcast registration fails in some 64 bit operating systems</li>
<li>FIXED! AV does not update the virus database properly under certain circumstances</li>
      </ul>

...I had to ask so many times for 3.14
Congrats,  korben!  Cheesy
And YES I'm going to start asking for 3.15 in the near future to make waiting for v4 slightly more pleasing an experience wink
Sure, but the sequence 13;14;15 is kinda predictable
Make it more fun: 126709.581;  129887.586... next?  Roll Eyes

As for this update it went well and there are no problems so far on XP

But in Win 7 x64 some Defense+ policies that were working fine since .581 installation were lost
That would be more appropriate to post some details into the “bugs” section rather than into this thread

Cheers!

Congratulations! This was the fastest UNinstall ever: within 3 minutes!
It's now crappier than ever.
I can even make an AV like this. It's just blocking everything it can find.

Start up time without Comodo: 3 minutes.
Start up time Comodo version 581: 30 minutes.
Start up time Comodo version 586: No go. Stalls within two minutes.

Hangs on amongst others: CCleaner, Truecrypt, Peerblock, Uneraser, Chipdrive SmartCard manager.

System: Windows XP3 SP3.
There is currently an investigation going on regarding performance problem in  [Testcase]AV problems with XP after January 17 or 18. May be you can try the suggested tests to see if your problem fits that category. When your problem does not seem to get covered by that problem please start your own topic. That would greatly help the Comodo devs.

Installed the new version on Win7 32bit and now it's scanning with the completely new AV engine.

Question, why did CIS needed a completely new engine and what is different\better in this new version?

I've only kept V3.14.xxxxxx.586 Firewall and D+ without the AV, I sent a PM to Egemen quite a few days ago concerning a problem in V4 first beta bug reports thread and haven't gotten an answer to a simple question since, would you look into Josh? I'd be very appreciative of your implication, you can also see my post in V4 2nd beta release announcement page 3 concerning this issue with a link to the orignal problem I PM'd Egemen about

http://personalfirewall.comodo.com/release_notes.html

Amazing that the link there only shows version 3.13.125662.579. Especially since I until recently had 3.13.126709.581 and JUST updated to: 3.14.129887.586 even though I have "Automatically check program for updates" checked, manual check for updates got me to that version.

The disparity between the autoupdate version and the version shown on the website has been pointed out to Comodo.

Ball's in their court.

its getting really sucks to download 40 MB every time a new version comes out..not everyone have fast connection you know Sad

why don't you guys create an incremental updates like other security company does.

and  http://www.comodointernetsecurity.com/release_notes.html that page hasn't been updated in awhile. it take couple minutes to update or just create a redirect to this topic.

and the new version should fix problem not to create a new problem, from my point of view comodo cis its really getting downward with the quality Sad

it really start to show a really lack of incompetent from the dev. CIS it was a great product but now .... perhaps you should just focus with firewall and d+, leave av to the other companies

i know its free product and blah blah so its just my 2 cent
