Heck yea! Cheesy
I'm glad we got a bug fix release...maybe that will make some of those "people" happy for a bit.  Tongue
I wonder what kind of "people" you're referring to. Grin

V5.4 customized ROCKS!

Updated via updater.  Two things to say/ask:

1)
Same as usual.:  when updater finnish its work it only suggests to restart the system. It doesn't says that CIS is now disabled, nor if it's half-working!
WHY does the tray-icon vanish when mouse hovered?  It's scary!  (Two customers/clients called me about this today!) And the behavior is not clear to the average user.

If it is really in need a restart after update, the right action should be (an advice) like "The System Will Be Automatically Re-Started After Update - SAVE YOUR CURRENT WORKS RIGHT NOW AND THEN CONTINUE" until the update begins!

2)
If I import my old rules from v581 the bugs solved in 586 will come back?
I mean... My old rules for v581 had very restrictive permissions for some applications (services.exe, svchost.exe, etc) allowing only what was needed and now (after update) they have an "global allow" for some intances (driver install, COM, etc.)

Thanks.

here the problem of office and explorer is solved [at] 90%. i mean previously to open and close a office document it use to take app. 20-25 secs to open and 20-25 secs to close, now its taking app 5-7 secs to open open and 5-7 secs to close. but yes every activity is little slow than usual, like every activity is now delayed than 2-3 secs, bootup is little slow too with few secs than usual.

Yes, the wait is over!
I had to ask so many times for 3.14

thank you....

And YES I'm going to start asking for 3.15 in the near future to make waiting for v4 slightly more pleasing an experience wink

Hi,
after 3 attempts to download the update through CIS Version 3.13.126709.581, getting the error code 189 or 198, lost internet connection, download at 24%. I downloaded the new, latest version and removed the last one and installed it.
All working just fine!

Updated through the internal updater and so far so good. I reinstalled the AV and it seems to be fine now.

Ok, I bring this up every time an update is pushed out.... but, you might want to update this:

http://personalfirewall.comodo.com/release_notes.html

It is now at least two versions out of date.

In case you don't remember, when an update gets pushed out, the above link is where people are directed to find out more info.  And as long as I have been using Comodo, that link has never been sync with the update, forcing me every time to come here, to the forums, to find out wth is going on.  If you don't want to keep that page updated, maybe change the link to send people to this forum instead.

This was also highlighted in another thread which I replied to. So would be very nice if Comodo could make sure they keep it relevant when clicking on "update details". I know they have loads of things to do, but hopefully this would be a very small job for them.

Congratulations! This was the fastest UNinstall ever: within 3 minutes!
It's now crappier than ever.
I can even make an AV like this. It's just blocking everything it can find.

Start up time without Comodo: 3 minutes.
Start up time Comodo version 581: 30 minutes.
Start up time Comodo version 586: No go. Stalls within two minutes.

Hangs on amongst others: CCleaner, Truecrypt, Peerblock, Uneraser, Chipdrive SmartCard manager.

System: Windows XP3 SP3.

Have you created your own thread so Comodo & Helpers can look into this? That way it would not only benefit you, but Comodo and any other users from getting this. Have had a flawless upgrade myself, just goes to show..

I installed  v3.14.129887.586 Firewall and D+ smoothly and without a hitch as usual. Thanks Comodo for doing such a consistently good job with these frequent v3 updates. After the new install my Vista computer restarted to the desktop in just 48 seconds!

I don't have any of the other things mentioned but I can attest that there are no issues with Ccleaner whatsoever.  Also running XP Pro SP3.
