Shouldn´t we all calm down. It is just a new version of a security program. it will NOT make you rich, happier or teach you to fly. CIS 5.8 works fine and keeps all current threats out. What more you can wait? Hwavier system resource use? Chic GUI?

Thanks for the heads up Melih.  Good to hear there is a lot of hard work going on behind the scenes with stuff to look forward to.

Could you comment some more on the apparent changes that are taking place and other things Comodo is working on for CIS v6?

May I suggest, good sir, a thread devoted to development of CIS, for example:
Week 28: Completed button design for new UI
Week 29: Completed test of button functionality, all seems to work fine.

It doesn't have to be daily, weekly updates should be just fine, if you guys find some time. It doesn't even have to be detailed, just a one line for every change?

A screenshot would be nice, if it's confidential, then no screenshot

The full release of Windows 8 is not expected to arrive any time before October 2012 hence I doubt they're waiting for Windows 8 to release however the compatibility with Windows 8 Consumer Preview might be in there so that would require some time to get right I'd imagine.

Edit:
Clarification, there is no official release date for Windows 8 however most speculation and unofficial release dates are set for either October or later.

Will CIS 6 support WinXP? I plan on staying with XP until I die or the end of the world, which ever comes first! December 21st is not that far off!
