Hi guys, thanks for the update Smiley
I noticed CD was a bit slow to load pages and I was wondering why, 'cause it has always been pretty fast.
Then, i tried to disable the "Web intents" feature (under "Settings" --> "Show advanced settings" --> "Privacy" --> "Content settings...") and it seems CD is faster now...
Can anyone confirm this is possible?
Thanks

OK, thanks for the answer Smiley

I have found this webkit-based browser:
http://code.google.com/p/gtlite-navigator/
http://gt-web-software.webs.com

They say: "GTLite Navigator is a fast and simple web browser using modified webkit builds which enable hardware and graphics acceleration, making the browser faster than any other webkit powered browser and even faster than chromium"

It seems quite interesting, but it's not clear if they have removed all the tracking features of Google Chrome...

What about investigating it? It's open-source, so maybe CD's developers can implement some of its features, if it's really "faster than the light" Wink

If it is a proposal, I would say okay. If it was not a proposal it is advertising or just stating competition.

Nonetheless, I have tried this browser and it was slow compared to Dragon.

Of course it was a proposal, or better, a way to think how to improve CD against competitors, which are getting stronger every day.

So, CD's guys are like Narcissus, just looking at themselves into the mirror, thinking how handsome they are? Or maybe it's better to look around and check what other competitors are doing?

And look at this. Is this advertising too?

I think Comodo should listen to its users if it wanna make better softwares (better meaning closer to users' wish). Otherwise this kind of requests http://forums.comodo.com/news-announcements-feedback-cd/dragons-autoupdate-creates-a-shortcut-t84100.0.html won't be corrected for other 6 months...

I wish we can see a post with Melih's point of view about this "customer relation" topic.

Anyway, I don't wanna be misunderstood Smiley I'm pretty satisfied with Comodo products Smiley
So, let me close with a joke to relax the reading Smiley

The benchmarks are ranked for competition, it is a list, not saying what makes their HTML5 better.

I am like that in any forum section. Do not brag another browser in the wrong section, it merely is advertising:
"Firefox sucks, I am going to Chrome." In Firefox's section? That is messed up. (More like, "Firefox is becoming a problem because of this, I will go and use another browser that is not as problematic.")

"Hey, I found a another browser that you guys should try." In Dragon's forums? That is also messed up. Then you go explaining why it is better, more like why they claim that their browser is better, so it seems like advertising. (Something you should keep with the admin, since they might take interest, but we might lose members, that is a problem.)

Just like, the "Chrome has these security updates, if Dragon does not implement them, we are not safe."-scare.

I was surfing sites but the rendering was slow compared to Dragon. Dragon even beats the Fox, which is my main.

That can be hard(obviously it can be done, like letting dragon users change skins), depending on what it is.  Some people want flash built in so it's ready to go to sites like youtube . com   Ohers feel it shouldn't be offered (various reasons)

Why does dragon have so many processes running?
Last time i counted there were 8 or 9 different processes running.is this really neccessary?
I looked at mine and don't have as many as you (I'm only basing that based on my computer and nothing else).(also I only have a few extentions and plug-ins.   While it's either a little or a lot faster then chome depending on who you ask, but equally as important.  IS IT SLOWING your computer down???

Ive used ccleaner and it has removed nearly 1GB of temp files etc just from this browser alone.
Were you a heavy internet user or downloading and/or viewing big stuff (an example would be music and/or movies online  or offline?

I could write the answer but posting a link references would be better.  Please remember this is only for Comodo Dragon Version 0.9.0.16 <----In the alpha state.  Currently Comodo Dragon is on Version 19.2.  and alot has improved since then

It's hard being a crooked Admin when the files won't pass an md5checksum test.  But like any other good crooked Admin it can be done, it just takes time(and lots of it) and a few aspirins
