Yes, and this one is really STUPID ! ! !  I am on a DSL SpeedStream modem into a 3Com Nic card and through some of my DUMB work the 'double-modems,' like you have when on a dial-up, appeared in the system tray.  Usually they show when I have set CFP to Disable Mode and they show with a Yellow triangle indicating there is not any internet activity.  Then when I return to work on the web just 'right-click' on the MODUUMS and do a repair.  I thought I could just right click on them and disable the modems, WRONG ! ! ! it turned my connection OFF.  I have spent the entire day attempting to regain my connection and have blamed everythingy from the light switch at the door to my computer.  All WRONG, it was ME, finally went into 'Control Panel/Network Connection' and just restored my connection and removed the mark for the Showing the modems in the system tray.

WOW, we sure can get smart fast when we discover our ERRORS.

Thank you for reading my TRUE Confession and this roasted poster,

You can STOP laughing now,

In my less experience days a few years ago when I first had Windows ME being very clever I thought at the time  Grin I delete one of the System files then shutdown the computer.
I really enjoy myself afterwards replacing the System file.  Grin

I confess that I just ate something that the doc's told me not to... and I kept it from everyone else here in our house...  Evil

And I also confess that I want to secretly put viruses into my cousins computer... (bad girl).  Cool

-Ganda, can that confession be included here?  Smiley
