I am sorry if I missunderstood something Smiley sorry, my mistake.

of what I have seen comodo also has Endpoint security suit (CIS is included).

To be honest I don't really understand what CIS paid version is missing compared to others (i.e Avast, Norton and others).

Regards,
            Valentin

I did PM you about this.

Comodo does not offer anything new as symantec, sophos, kasperky where using these techniques for some years now.

Nico

I didn't know that Symantec offers "Automatic Sandboxing" with "Default Deny" approach. I thought Comodo did and hence we have a patent applied for it. Can you pls confirm that you have seen Symantec using "Automatic Sandboxing" thank you!

Symantec, Kaspersky, Sophos, Bitdefender, Eset, Trentmicro, Pc-Cillin, F-Secure they all use HIPS + NAC + Sandboxing, Beh. Block, Reg. Defence,
Since when does Symantec have a HIPS? As far as I know it doesn't have one.

I have read and heard that symantec uses HIPS but Auto-HIPS which makes me wonder why doesn't  symantec use the advantage of HIPS.

Well i do know for a fact that Symantec does use sandboxing but they call it differend, however it does virtually do the same thing.
A quick search on the net did give me a rather old review about it, but it does proof what iam saying, however for more info i suggest that you contact symantec as i do not have any connection to them.

Symantec Critical System ProtectionSymantec Critical System Protection 5.2 protects against day zero attacks, hardens systems, and helps maintain compliance by enforcing behavior-based security policies on clients and servers. A centralized management console enables administrators to configure, deploy and maintain security policies, manage users and roles, view alerts, and run reports across heterogeneous operating systems.

Read more on their page about this.
I do not want to advertise them lol.
But yes they do use HIPS and some sort of hybrid version of it.

Just for the record i try to find more evidence of Symantec using Sandbox when i stumbled upon norman av.

I quote:
Norman Virus Control 5.8 uses the revolutionary technology to detect new viruses before pattern files are available. As a part of the Norman Virus Scanner, the Norman SandBox inserts any suspicious file into a simulated computer, complete with emulated network connections, where Norman monitors the actions of the file in real-time, enabling it to behave as if it were in a live environment. If virus behavior is detected and confirmed, Norman will prevent the virus from spreading and causing harm to your system.

Accoording to their site it uses: Auto Sandbox and default Deny.

After searching the symantec knowlegd base i can for 99% confirm that Symantec does use Sandboxing with Default Deny as well, However they have called it differend  and its not a standalone module but a part of a differend module wich does perform multiple tasks.

DACS, most likely, will be nothing like most expectations. Wink

Hi Valentin ,

Since you know that already, can you please enlighten us about some details of the "revolution"?

P.S. ... and probably estimated number of "collateral damage", because that's inevitable and accompany any revolution
At least that would be interesting to know for those who still believes in "revolutions"
I don't.

I said that because, of what I understand, DACS will detect 99,9% of the malware. Which is my eyes quite revolutionary or? PM me the answer if you don't mind; The posts above begins to get off topic ( I am also contributing to that. Sorry for that)

Thanks for understanding SiberLynx Smiley
