Hi Valentin ,

Since you know that already, can you please enlighten us about some details of the "revolution"?
You are around here long enough to know what the promise of DACS is. This is simply flame bait.

Hi Eric,

This
DACS will be comodo's revolutionary detection tool.
is an empty-worded statement - not a question or anything like that
Therefore I replied
This is simply flame bait.
You know well that it was not,
but you would rather tolerate multiple messages like quoted than missing an opportunity to pick on me and drive this deeper  Off-Topic!. Sure! Thanks

admin; XP Pro, SP3 (32bit); CIS 3.14.130099.587 (firewall only; Proactive with Defense+)- that is the only Comodo's thing I need; Emsisoft - Mamutu Behavioural Blocker or Full EAM
Win 7 x64: Comodo Firewall 3.14; Emsisoft Anti-Malware

to correct you SiberLynx Melih said himself that DACS will make revolution regarding detecting malware, if I am not mistaking.

The concept of DACS will have a serious impact. Therefor the wording revolutionary may not be that badly chosen. Let's hear it from the horse's mouth:
something more drastic than that...I think it will revolutionize the AV industry...i really think so.....it will create much debate....

[at] everyone - Please take one big red and green festive chill pill.

DACS, for the general public, doesn't exist yet. Speculation and approximation are fine, but let's not argue over something that we can't lay our hand on.

For the record - IMHO;
Is DACS revolutionary?
Maybe, but not in the way most people are expecting.

Will there be collateral damage?
Probably, but DEFINITELY not in the way that some have implied.

Will it shake up the AV industry?
Shake up may not be the best term - but it's going to ruffle more than a few feathers and make a lot of people rethink their positions.

Calm down, please. At the end of the day, it's only bloody software.

Peace
Ewen :-)

Hey and warm welcome to the forum!

They take in individuals deposits and pool them together to lend them to businesses or individuals who need the capital for a business opportunity they have. This business opportunity could be a company that wants to expand or an individual who wants to buy a home.

Give me Norten ! It used to be a resource hog. But that has been worked out. A lot of people have no power in their computers or they have a lap-top. Put 6or8 gigs of ram in to your machine and it will zip along !

I can't agree that Symantec are new in layered protection. Norton has always been good at stopping threats, and it will be, just like CIS. Both of the products are excellent, but there are still some extras that make Norton better. For example Norton Insight tells everything about a file and excludes trusted files from scans. And... it's a bit more polished in the UI. But it costs $70, so we can do it without these extras. About the resources, Norton uses less RAM than CIS, but that's not a big problem.

Do you know Comodo protection?
Do you know about other antivirus?

If so, find the errors of http://www.pcworld.com/article/210589/free_vs_fee_free_and_paid_antivirus_programs_compared.html  Wink

I have read the article from the link and the conclusion is that free combined security can provide you at least the same protect and prevention, if not better. The main difference is that you don't get technical support and some special tools. If I have misunderstood feel free to correct me Smiley

I think the article is negative against free solutions calling them "basic", not full...
This is not true.
