Okay guys, I've got a dell dimension 4100 running windows xp (originally ME). The other day I got the ugly yellow question mark on my network controller which caused me to not get internet connection on it. Tried reloading drivers for it from original disc but XP isn't and OS option and the computer isn't reinstalling the driver needed to take care of the question mark.. What can be done?

G'day,

In a case where the driver cannot or will not reinstall or update, my next move would be to delete the device in Device Manager, reboot and let the operating system rediscover it. The rediscovery should force it to reload the already existing drivers.

Hope this helps,
Ewen :-)
