Shall we?

Wow! This is a long thread…
I’ve just read through it and many other threads on this site and as a Newbie (to Comodo) this is what I’ve noticed.
After playing with PC’s for 14 odd years I only came across Comodo Firewall 3 days ago after noticing it in someone’s signature system spec’s on another site.
Having previously used commercial products, for the past few years most I know including local PC stores have settled for Windows Firewall, AVG and Lava. Actually yesterday I asked a tech if he’d heard of Comodo, he’d heard the name but that was it.
I don’t like the new Lava so it got me searching for a replacement, and as we do I got side tracked checking out all kinds of security products and issues I wasn’t aware of including that AVG apparently isn’t all that good anymore.
However Most people don’t have or make the time to sit at a PC doing such research!
Thing is, somehow I managed to downloaded Comodo Firewall, installed it and until I got to a point of confusion in setting it up and having to go on the Comodo website then Forum I wasn’t even aware there were other free products available. If I’d been happy enough to just let Firewall do its thing I (or most) wouldn’t be aware there are more Free products.
Marketing!!!!Do a Google search for either “Online Security”, “Internet Security” or “All you need to know about Internet Security” Newbie’s don’t really know how to refine their search.
Check out how many pages you have to scroll though before anything related to Comodo comes up.
Other than us telling our friends about Comodo there has to be a better way to utilise the search engines, without paid adverts (hate them).
Launch PadI’ve been trying to work out this layering/resource thing and whilst checking out the product page
http://www.comodo.com/products/free_products.html I noticed Comodo iVault. After installing and reboot I first seen the Lanch Pad screen WOW! Havn’t even used it yet. I came back here to find out/ask Why?
I totally agree with having the option of disabling or uninstalling it as well as the other comments re grouped or non grouped launch Icon.
However like most when we become mentaly advanced in anything we forget to provide layman terms for the inexperienced.
Niether the Comodo Site or Forum has a beginer or Newbie section or page etc. Either or both could firstly say (without long boring and confusing info)

MD Signature-----------------------------------------------------------------
Clear, to the point and easy to understand. You just have to make sure that the link that takes them to the forum is a not to bombarding full of jargon that goes over their head. One specifically for Newbies a Sticky with link references etc, perhapes even a video tutorial. It would also have to be kept upto date for current downloaded release.
People also like to put a face to who there dealing with so perhapes the MD could say a few quick words about Comodo and staff and then introduce the video tutorial
Cheers All
