Please tell us how you would like to see us improve this software
thanks

Hey Melih,
If at all you are serious about it, please develop this iVault to be at least similar to KeePass combined with KeeForm & KeeRun (not appearance but rather functionally); which I like to call "KeeCombo". It will give RoboForm a run for its money.
I'm really hoping that you guys will give it a serious thought and start developing along those lines.
Thanks.

Simply put across, iVault should at least be able to ...
manage passwords (which it already does)
generate complex passwords (KeePass is better with character seletion)
submit login information at the click of a button (it does somewhat)
collect login information from web-pages (like RoboForm) if a keycard doesn't already exist.
handle multiple accounts (diff id's and passwords) at the same web address
be able to handle multi-layer authentication (my personal wish KeePass cannot do this, RoboForm does this very well)
should be available as a standalone product, not integrated with launch pad

First and foremost, it must be
EXTREMELY SECURE
to fulfill its intended purpose. Putting UID's and PWD's in a common program will give the
Hackers & Crackers
a targeted repository to go after. I have not been able to ascertain how secure i-Vault really is by reading these forums or viewing the software description.
Call me paranoid, but I have never been one to store
ANY PASSWORDS
on my PC. Instead, I have always entered passwords and their corresponding data in an Excel spreadsheet stored only on a floppy or USB Flash Drive (for later editing/update purposes) with a hard copy printed for routine daily home use. In other words, nothing containing passwords ever sleeps on my computer. This has proven effective over the years with no mal-ware or Trojans able to leap off my computer and steal any data from my hard copy paper or off of stored floppies, although I am getting a bit paranoid about what my web-cam might be doing at night
while I sleep
.
However, I'm now growing tired of having to locate my "secret piece of paper" to recall various pwd's plus all the manual entry required - I need SECURE pwd automation! I-Vault does look quite promising in that respect!!! Therefore, I have loaded a 'test only" download of i-Vault on Vista 32 with IE 7...with mixed results regarding internet logins. I'm sure these glitches will be resolved as the product matures.
Back to the wish list aspect...I too would like to see other additional security features using some kind of layered approach. I don't think a
Master Pwd
is enough, as evidenced by another member's post in another thread regarding a simple key logger experiment. There have been some good ideas already mentioned about using TPM, fingerprint readers, USB keys to increase the security aspect. Perhaps i-Vault could also be integrated with having to have a Comodo security certificate residing on the users system to access secured files. Of course you have to balance hardened security with any desired portability aspects. Again, this would be layers of security so that a user would be able to configure it to make it as tight or secure as needed for the particular environment i-Vault is being used in. Perhaps even a "lockdown mode" timer clock where the i-Vault cannot be accessed between certain user defined hours would provide some additional security.
Since Comodo is already in the security business I am sure they will find ways to harden this security tool. Until then, my secret paper will have to do!

I would like to see some "scripting" like KeePass has. With Bellsouth being purchased by AT&T, they have changed the webmail login to include a dropdown box to select att.net or bellsouth.net as the provider. Automatic login does not work on this. In fact, with automated login enabled, I can't log into web mail on AT&T at all. I had to uninstall I-Vault because it was blocking my login to webmail even when automated login was disabled.
I really like Comodo products and support the company philosophy of providing free programs to make a better environment for your enterprise companies.
Thanks

The ability to launch applications from the i-Vault page would be very useful. perhaps it could work like the Windows "link" or "shortcuts".
I too would like to see integration with other browsers such as Opera and Mozilla.

I'd like to reiterate that support for browsers other than Firefox is desperately needed.
Melih - now that new versions of CFP and CAVS are out, when can we expect to see updates to i-vault?
I'd love it if i-vault would work similarly/have all the features of stickypassword (
www.stickypassword.com
) - I'd be using that in a flash except for one failing - it doesn't store anything BUT passwords!
Everything else about stickypassword is fantastic though - portable version, USB or Bluetooth for authentication, onscreen keyboard, great selection of encryption - AES 256, Blowfish 448, Diamond II 2048, Sapphire II 8192 bit - lots of options for password generation, works on any software that requires login/forms including Windows logins ... and on it goes.

1. Add a menu option to check for upgrades/updates
2. Add optional configuration setting to automatically prompt for master password when firing up the browser (and not already logged in)

Seems alot have asked help in the forums and never receive an answer. Here's my questions
1. Does i-vault really ever work, or is it a software gone bye bye
2. Wrong forum but then noone ever answers there either, How about a way to uninstall Comodo AntiSpam that won't trash my PC
Like I said before the FIREWALL is great, thanks for getting that product to work as posted

Be my guess then that no one world wide is having a problem with this product, or they just un install and move on. Forums usually consist of many happy member with great expertise in the product and all to HAPPY to help. Here this must not be the case, but I do thank you for at least answering. I read so many post here that have never seen an answer of any sort, just leave the poor slobs hanging. I'll give support a shot, but being a free product we all know how that works don't we???
And you
DO NOT
need to register again, you just need to log in again with your forum ID
