iVault is so promising.. as a product.
What surprises me is a very simple thing that could have been included. A vault. Not for passwords only, but anything else as well.

Something along the lines of Docsvault

Thanks.

I have just uninstalled IVault.  I love your Firewall and will continue to use.  I uninstalled IVault when I found that its unneeded control panel did not recognize that your firewall was installed and basically was an advertisement for your other free products (hardly appropriate).  Most difficult was that it would not let me log on to MyWay.Com claiming I had either cookies or Java Script prevented.  I spent an hour turning all my security tools off and still could not get logged on.  Removed IVault and no more problems.  The program looks much better than Roboform but I will watch the forum for signs that you have got rid of the dashboard or whatever you called it.

Hi,

I would like to see i-Vault being able to store personal information and automatically fill in web forms in Internet Explorer when I shop or have to fill in personal information for one reason or another. RoboForm has this, but I like i-Vault to have the same thing. For Firefox there are a couple of extensions for this, but for IE the only other option is RoboForm or some of the bloated toolbars.

According my wish at http://forums.comodo.com/index.php/topic,5265.0.html, please, inform users about supported browsers. Please, check if default browser is supported or not.

Melih,

From your last post regarding the firefox compatibility. Are you saying that this is something that will not happen with this software? Or just not anytime in the near future? If the later, would you be able to give us a (very rough) estimate on when this feature might be available? A month? This year? Years from now? This is a major hindrance. I have rolled this out to my office. All agree that this is an amazing program, but cant bring themselves to use it because it does not work with Firefox. Its like having a Ferrari with cheap crappy tires. It makes no sense. If you could throw some kind of timeline at us, as to when this may (if at all), happen, it would be greatly appreciated.

As for me personal. I would love to see this software have more "vault like" capabilities for the storage of documents. For instance, with my offshore corporate bank accounts, I have articles of incorporation that I would love to store in an encypted envorinment, alongside all of my banking details.

Thanks for your time.

Import from Roboform. Most "first adopters" (and those encouraging, leading others in their software choices) now use Roboform. I do. It works with FF.

I sure would like to have the following for use in i-Vault:

1.  Allow a pasting action within the “Additional comments:” area of a card. Presently, I cannot copy/paste to the Additional comment area. Also, provide the ability to use different background colors for that comment area.

2.  Allow more than the present 4 to 5 lines of entry area for “Additional comments:”

3.  High Priority: Provide an additional Safe Comment area within the card that is only accessible and viewable via the Edit Card mode and has an area greater than the 4 to 5 lines allotted for the Viewable "Additional Comments:" area. Also, make it available for copy/paste and different background color selection as well.

4.  Very Minior: Correct the misspelling that is present during the Backup Process. (succeeded)

5.  Provide the ability for the User to Add additional Card Categories.

Thank you for your consideration.
Regards

Please have a native English speaker edit and correct the numerous misuses of words and awkwardly written sentences in the help section. Also please explain things like "SWIFT", "Require keyboard focus", "Block 'anonymous' data transfer", "keyboard emulation", etc. Why would someone use them and why would someone not.
Also, many websites with login screens do not seem to work with iVault. Some explanation/fix/work-around would be appreciated. I am still learning; I cannot get QuickPassword to work.

Yup - its seems absolutely essential for Firefox to be able to use I-Vault - millions of people use that as their browser so Comodo are missing out on a large user base and that is a huge shame!!!

Before I am going to use iVault I am waiting on an import function to import from other password managers.
It also would be niche to have a translation of the users manual in dutch.

Make it absolutely portable, so I can run it from a USB stick on whatever PC I'm on, without registry/INI dependancies.

panic, i spoke too soon.. i reinstalled "i-vault" and, once i let it update, a lot of the issues that i had with "i-vault" (and "launchpad") were resolved..

however, "i-vault" does appear to "phone home" to ip address 85.91.228.132 (which is the same ip address that is used for updating "lauchpad").. i guess i am supposed to trust "i-vault" to phone home, but i would prefer it if it didn't, especially considering that it is supposed to be "securing" sensitive data..

i think the installer should be updated to where "lauchpad" does not need to be updated immediately after installing "i-vault" and that "i-vault" should be designed to where it does not "phone home" at all..

i also wish that the program would store the "CIV" file (the file with the "secured data") in the "i-vault" folder, in c/program files, rather than creating the "CIV" file in "my documents"..

Yes, this would be ideal. Any chance on making a U3 version of this?

Looks like a few other password softwares are making the step first: http://u3.sandisk.com/download/Download_no.asp

I see that signup sheild has a U3 version. This is the first time that this has proven to be a handy option. I am travelling fro 11 days, and am loading my Storage's "Export to text file" from i-vault onto my USB stick. Would be much better to have a U3 version available as well. Might as well stay as a leader and keep up with the latest technologies.
